2024 Paris Olympics

The lady commentating the gymnastics. I think she's had this gig since before Sydney 2000? Must me nice to be able to count on a trip to somewhere interesting every 4 years, or 2 if you count the Commonwealth Games.
So her job was enhanced by Dan Andrews?

LOL.

"“They’re so rude. Oh, they’re really up themselves. They’re pompous. They do a good burger, though. I do like the burgers and stuff over here.” — Channel Nine’s Karl Stefanovic rips into the French on the Kyle and Jackie O Show. I wonder if he was referring to Le Big Mac or a Royale with Cheese?"

Currently watching sports climbing but if everyone is failing on the course, does that mean the course is too difficult?.

Edit. One athlete was able to complete the course so far, the rest are falling all over the place

There is more than one way to get to the Olympics.

Liz Chetkovich is the Gymnastics commentator. Has been doing it for a long time - 7 Olympics according to her LinkedIn. But currently her daytime job is with the WACA cricket. She knows gymnastics unlike some other sports commentators who obviously don't know the sport they are commentating on.

Agreed
The decibel volume of what is being broadcast usually has inverse relationship to actual knowledge or articulate commentary

I loved watching the Ukrainian winner of the High Jump.
So so cool - huddled into the sleeping back
a s l e e p between jumps.
Sure she will have offers galore for brand endorsements coming her way.
Rays Outdoors??!

I have enough problems with walking being a sport but Olympic marathon relay walking 🤣

I'll take skateboarding any day over that

It's been in the Olympics since 1908 as a stand alone event I think. Edit. Marathon. Oops.

Commentator just stating that Australia has not won a medal in the Olympics. It’s only been included twice before. In 1900 and 1904.

Very weird that it's the men's sports climbing finals and no commentators.

That's on one of the 9 app feeds? Have had that a couple of times, including for the athletics once. I think in that case it was commentated on another channel.
