Obviously you didn't see the last episode where he was trying to explain how the navy didn't know where the Indonesian border is/was, whatever........

I tried to give the navy my old GPS unit as I thought they use some help, but I was told to ......k off in no uncertain terms when I went up to Russell Offices to try to give it to them.:(

I guess you also didn't find Clarke and Dawe last Thursday very funny either? Clarke and Dawe - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Sorry off topic. :)

I'm with 11sjw. My toes curl at Micallef's "humour". I change stations. I find Clarke and Dawe to be quite humorous. I don't understand why you'd compare them.

I have read the email but I am only just catching up with this thread.

There will be plenty of those, there is a reason why QF have retimed their SIN service closer to JQ.
For Jetstar to take over?

The more routes that go to Jetstar the closer the demise of Qantas. And then we will not be having these debates as there will be a separate Jetstar forum on AFF for the bogans.

I hope you remembered to remove the pin before you threw that one.

Not sure how it would work... There are no tricks or perks flying Jetstar with QF status to discuss.

Just because you don't enjoy Micallef's humour, it doesn't mean that it isn't funny and that I can't enjoy it...........:o

I'm enjoying Mr & Mrs Murder at the moment even though it's on f*xtel which is partially owned by that doyen of free speech, rupes....., I refuse to buy any of his cough newspapers, but unfortunately I have to subscribe to his pay tv channel because we don't have much of a choice here and there are some things that I do want to watch that aren't available on free to air, i.e. World Rally Championship, super 15 rugby and the current cricket series in SA.

Anyway again off topic..........

Byrrul, of course you can enjoy him. But think about how your first response was to 11sjw. You made it sound like they didn't know what they were talking about when they said they didn't like him.

Now that the dust is beginning to settle on the announcement and some hacks have done the historical perspective, I wonder how Simon Hickey is feeling - going from QFF doyen to QFi where his only win so far has been finalising the EK partnership.

I wonder how how long before the economic situation might mean QF start to think of bringing back some routes? 2-3 years is my best guess.

I guess there are more "bogans" travelling than non-bogans, so smart move on their part penetrating the LCC market, without Jetstar the QG could be in a lot more trouble than it actually is in.

So why shouldn't QG extend routes on Jetstar if thats what the market wants? Oh wait QG could ram down their throats a Qantas product... with the potential result customers flocking to Virgin/Tiger etc.

It wasn't meant to be like that.

I fly Qantas. If Qantas wants to remove more international routes (to say places like SIN) in favour of Jetstar then I will not be flying Jetstar.

And why not create a separate Jetstar forum? They are not the same entity as Qantas regardless of what people think.

All depends on whether we keep seeing other airlines dump capacity into Australia

Look on the bright side....at least they ceased giving the whole broadcast space to that audience zapping Stephen Fry. Deadset - it's the ABC not the BBC ...

Better burn those million + points quick smart!

Don't worry - if need be I'll save a spot for you in the Bogan section

My guess. Straight after they've come out the other end of the pending IR/union scuffle, received some sort of relief from the Gov and Joyce has left the building for greener pastures.

Just searched for SYD-SIN flights in March and it appears both services are now operated by an A332? (Used to be A333.) Would that be the internationally configured A332?
