Choose from 30K extra points, 250 status credits or a $200 Coles gift card when you sign up for a points credit card by 31st march and earn the bonus points.
Eligible cards include:
Virgin Money
American Express (Excluding Escape Card)
Bank of Queensland
Westpac

To be eligible to receive the choice of 30,000 bonus Velocity Points, 250 Status Credits or $200 Coles Gift Card (each an ‘Exclusive Benefit’), you must (a) be a Velocity Frequent Flyer member, (b) make your selection of the Exclusive Benefit by visiting here between 12:01am (AEST) 13 February 2023 and 11:59pm (AEST) 31 March 2023 (prior to the card application) and receive a confirmation email to the nominated email address in your Velocity Frequent Flyer account, (c) after receipt of the confirmation email, successfully apply for any card featured on the Velocity Points Earning Credit Card page that has an annual card fee (the American Express Velocity Escape Card is not eligible for this promotion), and (d) meet the minimum spend criteria for the eligible offer associated with the individual card if the application is successful. The selected Exclusive Benefit will be allocated to your Velocity account within 30 days of receiving the relevant eligible offer associated with the individual card provided by the issuer of the card (Issuer). You are unable to change any Exclusive Benefit once selected and you will only be able to receive one Exclusive Benefit during this promotion. The choice of 30,000 Bonus Velocity Points, 250 Status Credits or $200 Coles Gift Card is offered by Velocity Frequent Flyer and is separate to bonus points or other eligible offers from the Issuers. The choice of Exclusive Benefits is offered to the primary cardholder once. Exclusive Benefit selection must be made prior to any new card application by visiting here. Velocity membership Terms and Conditions apply. Each Exclusive Benefit is subject to further terms and conditions
Not sure how this works for existing cards like virgin money spend 1500 get 25000 points for people already holding the cc and middle of the promotion.
but seems to be a good offer.

those SCs look good.

Between the 250 SC, and 120 SC from flybuys (x2 if you have family pooling) you're close plat renewal without even flying

I don't need the SC's before this promo ends, but will need them early next year. I wonder if they'll do the SC promo again?

A nice offer. I'll probably use this.

I can't see anything in the offer T&Cs that says when you would need to apply for a card by?

Unless I'm missing something, it just says you need to choose your Exclusive Benefit by 31 March 2023 and then apply for an eligible card.

Although, this FAQ seems to indicate that you do also need to apply for an eligible credit card by 31 March:

I forgot to make my exclusive benefit choice, what can I do?

If you’ve submitted an application for a Velocity Points Earning credit card within the offer period (between 13 February 2023 and 31 March 2023), you will still be able to submit an exclulsive benefit selection here until 11.59pm AEST on 31 March 2023.

Just getting started with VA, which one to choose bonus points or status credits ?

Nice offer and comes at the perfect time. Was going to be applying for one of the virgin money cards in the next couple of weeks.

It depends. If you have any aspirations to earn Silver, Gold or Platinum status, I'd go for the status credits as these are much harder to earn from means other than flying and 250 status credits is a decent amount.

Normally I would have gone straight for the 250 status credits, but I've just crunched the numbers and with the DSC offer I'll requalify for Platinum just with what I have booked already, even though my new year only starts on the 1st of March!
Guess it's 30K points for me instead!

hmmm I am just about to go on parental pause for 6 months, which means any SCs earnt in the next 6 months will go to waste. Anyone know if any of those cards have long enough spend times that the SCs would post until after 6 months?

I'll also get to Platinum on DSCs, but 250 status credits will help with re-qualifying for next year.

Most of the offers require you to complete the minimum spend amount within 3 months.

Virgin Money Flyer (and High Flyer if you want to pay a higher annual fee) gives 100k pts.
Cancelled one of these in November. Assume there's a 12 month exclusion.
The Westpac Altitude Velocity Black offer is pretty good? Up to 120,000 Velocity points + the Exclusive Benefit.
I really (personally) hate the offers that tie you in to a second year. Westpac Velocity platinum may be the one if there are no better offers in March.

Very interesting. May consider as a way to retain gold.

Even more interested as to whether QF are tempted to respond with something similar

...and I just applied for the Amex Platinum card yesterday! Should I cancel and reapply to get the bonus?
