40,000 QFF points for $74?

For those who selected click and collect, did you get any notification your order was ready to pick up?

I didn't, but if you go into the Vodafone tracking portal you'll see a link to the Toll track & trace portal. As soon as Toll marked the item as delivered I went into the store and picked it up.

Be careful when you enter your new phone number on the Qantas points page. I typed a wrong digit in and pressed submit (left the zero off). The T&C's say it will be rejected so I put another claim in with the correct number.

The 2 months free part of the deal has now expired. Phones out of stock (the 3 cheapest) are now not listed.

Thanks, I ended up doing this.

Good thing I had the Toll tracking data loaded on my phone - the staff in store seemed sceptical that they had the delivery, but eventually went looking in the backroom. According to Vodafone's site, it's still "being delivered".

I assume the phones are locked to the Vodaphone network. As such are they worth anything to others?

The 40K points x 2 for the wife and myself just came through. Now to pick the right time to cancel.

Any one cancelled yet? Why is there a "right time" to cancel?

If you cancel NOW you lose the free two months, so much of your saving is eroded.

You should cancel in the 3rd month. It seems everyone has a hard time reading the T/Cs.

They very clearly state, as Serfty says above, that if you cancel within the two months you forfeit the first two months free. They offer a 30 days cancel free option but then you may also lose the points. Deductions do happen, but I haven't experienced it. It is, however, possible.

So in the third month you should ring and cancel (whether you cancel on the first or the last of the billing month is irrelevant). The T/Cs state the minimum cost is $80 + the handset fee so I haven no idea how anyone came to the conclusion it is $74.

Hi everyone
I signed up for this offer and received my $99 phone and the sim has been activated.
I just checked my Qantas account and have just been credited 20,000 points from Vodaphone. Should I have been credited 40k points or will the other 20k points be credited later?
Thanks Peter

Did you sign up for the correct plan?
Only the $80 month by month plan was eligible for the 40,000. Several others offered 20,000 only

I just gave Vodaphone a call. I signed up for the wrong plan and I can't et the extra points by upgrading. Darn. Oh well lesson learned. Read the offer carefully next time.

Th only issue now is when should I cancel?
