5,000 bonus points each on up to 3 international Qantas Hotels bookings (book by 5/8/24)

Hmmm
They can’t even pay out all the 5,000 points for the first offer
Mind you overnight one of my 9 points per $ spend did arrive but that was in the “ordinary” course of 4 weeks later
Yes there is the pain aspect of it as well! But it does help with keeping points club for another year without needing to churn credit cards.

8 weeks and 1 day, sent in my second request for missing points
please let us know how you go and how long it takes - I've got one more to claim for as well but I can't do that until about the 20th of October.

Presumably if the normal points were awarded, and payment taken, the bonus points should be guaranteed you would think.

They emailed back and said they were already credited on the 30th August (which I’m pretty confident they weren’t but lo and behold they are now in my activity statement). The fact the previous CS rep said 6-8 weeks implies to me it wasn’t visible that end either. However the 5k is still missing

I received a similar "they were already credited" email when I emailed for about the third time jumping through hoops trying to get my MU flight credited - and the points had magically just appeared in my account. The cough you have to go through to get points credited is ridiculous.

My Qantas Hotels points and Points Club bonus points for my third stay under the 5000 bonus points promo have landed from my stay 28-30 August in the USA. Still waiting for the 5000 bonus points for this stay, but am expecting to see them ion the next few days if the system is not broken .... hmm, we are talking about Qantas IT systems, so I am not going to be holding my breath.

Most of the emails from freq flyer seem to come from the Philippines with associated poor engrish (some of the emails I’ve received are downright embarrassing… “spirit of Australia”!). The Filipinos tend to use “already” incorrectly. It will generally mean “I’ve just done this for you”.

I got that but not the 5000 pts bonus...when I queried it they said I had to wait 8 weeks after checkout...got the 1st 2 5000 pts well within that time frame...will fire back a reply on Mon when the 8 weeks are up!

For each stay I see three transactions - two under Hotels and showing as the exactly 30 days after checkout date (6th and 8th September), one listed as Points Club and the other as Qantas Hotels. These two transactions dated exactly 30 days after checkout appeared today from my 3rd stay.

I also see the 5000 bonus points under "Other" for the first two stays, both dated 8th September. So I am expecting the 5000 bonus points to be credited either in the next few days, or around 8th October depending on the processing process. If they are doing a monthly sweep around 8th of the month, then I expect to see it around 8th October. If they are processing 30 days after check-out, then it should be coming very soon.

The fact they are telling people to wait 8 weeks suggests its a monthly sweep and if you just miss one sweep then it could be up to 8 weeks to receive the points.

Then again, it may depend on the name of the pet dog of the work experience kid who wrote the code.

Got my 5000 points today
Unfortunately they don’t count towards points club for this year given their date is 1st august

Can’t have it all I suppose!

So pretty much 2 months exactly. More than 8 weeks stated before, but I’ll wait a bit longer then. Are others seeing points posted around 8 weeks/2months?

No. I also had a 1 August booking and received the hotel points on 31 August and the 5k bonus points on 6 September.

2/3 of mine came through 30 days after checkout - the middle one is still missing in action about six weeks after checkout...

Welcome to Qantas Frequent Flyer! 😂

I received the 5000 bonus for my first and third bookings even though I never even checked into the third one due to changed plans.
Because under the T&Cs one didn’t need to checkin to obtain the bonus. However, one needed to not cancel either…
