Looks like the standard offer Qantas tends to send a few days after you make a flight booking. i.e. targeted
Weird - I never get those after making a booking! All I get is an email reminding me about car hire etc.

Most of the emails from freq flyer seem to come from the Philippines with associated poor engrish (some of the emails I’ve received are downright embarrassing… “spirit of Australia”!). The Filipinos tend to use “already” incorrectly. It will generally mean “I’ve just done this for you”.
Correct.
QF/JQ/VA all outsourced their back office activities to a Philippine based BPO.

*BPO = Business Process Outsourcing.

I did make a Qantas booking the day before but this is the first time I have received this offer. Previous bookings have not generated the offer.

Still missing 5000 bonus points from last offer. Is there an automated way to make claim, like there is for flights? Or does it have to be done by email/chat? And has anyone had success in receiving missing bonus points?

No automated way

I emailed them
And got a support number

It’s now 10.5 weeks from checkout and they still haven’t turned up

Something going on at their end

3/3

after a follow up email to the one where they said “yes you’re eligible” it was 10.5 weeks since checkout and then some days more…
the last 5,000 has been added to my account overnight logged as created on 16 October

That completes the last outstanding points from my European vacation as I only had the two eligible bookings.

Must be done in batches...i got my missing 3rd stay 5000 Qf points bonus overnight too...with date 16 October as well.

Without wishing to draw too much attention, I seem to have been credited an extra 5000 in the same batch process overnight (unless I am missing something- which I may be)

Kiwi based member here. Used the offer to stay at a hotel in Perth. Noting the T&Cs about booking an international hotel, I’m hoping to get the 5,000 bonus as for me the booking was international. Fingers crossed!

Mine arrived and have counted towards my new Points Club year. Stay was at the end of August, membership year started beginning of October, so I was not expecting the 5K points to count to this year's PC tally. So seems they may be processed somewhat manually. I did not contact QFF about missing points - they just arrived without prompting. Happy days.

Add me to the happy list too - mine arrived overnight as well - thought that I was going to have to chase them like a lot of the other points I earned on my China trip.

I booked 3 hotels in Chile meeting the minimum$100 criteria. The first 2 went off fine. Today I reached the last hotel, and found 2 ladies who appeared to be living at the address. The hot el sign is down and no signs of any hotel functions, seems like a house. Through Google Translate they told me that it has not been a hotel for 2 years, the new owner is from Colombia. They said I had been scammed. But this hotel is STILL being sold on Qantas hotels, Expedia and others. I was able to cancel and get half the money back but of course I want a full refund since I had to find another hotel to stay at. Plus I am also out 5000 points which was the whole reason to book it. I am having trouble calling Qantas Hotels, no one knows what to do. I can't figure out how to email or chat them. Any ideas?
