5 status credits short for platinum renewal... any chance of Qantas 'gifting' those?

It's not unknown for The Big Red Roo to accomplish such feats of donating a missing 5 SC. But asking can not harm you. There is a department official I had spoken to previously whose sole purpose is to assess you in totality as a frequent Flyer. And the chances of flying vigoursly in the next 12 months.

Any update on this?

My Platinum renewal is due on 31 DEC and I'm at 1199 (yes, 1 SC short!).

I have re-qualified for Green Tier and have not selected the bonus, but would rather get the 50 SC in the new year if possible.

I imagine if QF will give you a freebie, it will be before 31 DEC, but there’s only one way to find out!

Yeh give it a go, but if you are really needing those 50SC to requalify next year then you aren’t at the top of the food chain.

OT but I read elsewhere on SM that the number of P1s has thinned out quite considerably since they stopped the Covid rollovers. I would think that Plat would be the same. Not saying that the OP is in that category of course.
