Don't dare to make bookings, even to Qld, which for now, just needs a person to get the border pass, in case flights are cancelled.
Do it. They won’t close Qld again unless a large surge.

Which might mean more offerings. Adelaide pretty please. Would take me to WP again.

Scored 2 tickets in Y, had a window seat, then thought I was selecting the 2nd seat on the isle. But no, it moved my window seat to isle, by the time I realised (trying to do things so quickly) ended up with us both on the isle 52 & 53.
Surprise trip for hubby, booked 2 nights at Hyatt to make a weekend of it.

Less costs ;) [staffing, catering, fuel, airport fees, taxes & charges, wear & tear, admin]
But priceless for pilots and crew to work. When we flew last month it was with a touch at sadness how grateful everyone in Qantas was, starting with the front desk who were warmly greeting everyone.

From Important Information: The unique Great Southern Land scenic flight is available for new bookings only. Flight Credits or Qantas TravelPasses cannot be used to book this experience.

So, no using the money we are already holding of yours :)

And people were having a go about Virgin's credit being worthless and restricted...

Both are bad but surely not being able to use credits on anything but a dedicated booking class with limited seats across all revenue flights is worse than not being able to use them on a single promo flight? Because here I am expecting a worse example than VA (from the phrasing) and I don't think it is?

Pent-up Demand
....

So to speculate

the trick now would be to work out dates for other cities... at 150 PAX, there must be scope for more

Plus Given the 787 capability, a 12 hour flight is doable but prob not at a low enough price..... something like Kangaroo Island, Pink Lakes, Wave Rock. Monkey Mia, Kimberley Coast, Uluru, Burke & Wills, Longreach, Torres straight, Great Barrier Reef, Great Dividing Range, river Murray....
Quick whiz out to Lord Howe island ?

Even a PNG OR NZ Flyover wouldnt be out of the question ?

Bought a ticket early enough to get 57A, before realizing that 57A has. no. window.

;_;

Ended up switching to an aisle seat

Dodged a bullet there! Im 41K. Have never flown the QF 787 before & tossed up the idea of the back row but wasn’t sure how good the view would be.

Hope it's not cloudy on the day! I guess it's flying far enough and wide enough, that it should be OK.
