Re: 30 Days Admirals Club Membership

I was looking at the one day pass (syd-lax-dfw-mco) with Qantas/AA, but as I could not find Syd on the drop down menu, I decided to contact AA directly

Thank you for contacting Admirals Club Member Services. I appreciate the opportunity to respond.

The One-Day pass is only accepted at Admirals Club locations. Unfortunately it will not offer you access in Sydney, Australia. Access to the Qantas Clubs and Lounges associated with the Expanded Lounge Access program are an exclusive benefit of membership (annual or 30-Day).

I’m sorry I didn’t have the answer you were hoping for, but I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Kind regards,

Julie Massal

So looks like the 30 day pass purchased over in the USA, as the 30 day pass starts the day of purchase. (away for 36 days) to access the lounges at mia/jfk/ord/ewr/lax

Just called T1 International Business Lounge to double check this and a guy told me rudely (very loudly and repeatedly) that (for AC) "NO PLASTIC CARD NO ENTRY". He kept saying "been working here 10 years, NEVER HEARD of this", even after I politely explained this is a new membership being offered by AA. I then asked if I may speak to Grant and he lied to me that Grant is not on duty today. As I didn't catch his name when he answered the phone, I nicely asked if he would mind telling me his name again, but he cut the line straight away. :(

I called again and was answered by a lady, she was aware of the short conversation I had with the previous agent and she put me through to Grant. Grant said that he could not say on behalf of the company but personally he thought it should be okay if it's a proper AC membership (i.e. if it's not a complimentary pass). He suggested me to double check with QP which I haven't got time to have a chat with yet.

Anyway, I was quite disappointed (and even a bit scared) by the first guy's rude attitude.

That's the friendly Qantas 'service' I've come to expect.

Yep, went through the pull down menu. On a RTW itinerary for my no status mate the only places he can't use it are ATH and LHR T5, not bad really.

So can you use the pass if your an AAdvantage member, but crediting to QFF? Or will he have to credit the flights to AA?

The guest policy is generous. My partner and I are going RTW, and my mate who is joining has more guest allowances than I do?

In LHR T5, it should be possible to take my partner to the Concorde Room (we're flying F), and guest my mate into Galleries First right? Flyertalkers always talk about sampling all the lounges at T5, so surely you can enter the different lounges without any issue?

Re: 30 Days Admirals Club Membership

Has anyone been able to use one of the 30 day passes in SIN QP?

Short term lounge access AA/Qantas

I have benefitted greatly from reading the posts for several years. Thank you all. I recently had a short trip to USA with four domestic flights plus the arrival and departure on Qantas. For the long layovers I was prepared to pay the $US50 per person per day entry for the two of us however they currently have the option of a 30 day membership of Admirals club which also allows a friend entry for $US99. This one off cost was much better value and also gives access to Qantas lounges.

Re: Short term lounge access AA/Qantas

Thanks Serfty I am obviously not reading the forum enough. Apologies for adding unecessary extra traffic.

Re: 30 Days Admirals Club Membership

Under the new Qantas-Emirates tie up, would Admirals members have access to any lounge in Dubai?

Has anyone used the AC 30 day pass in a Qantas lounge in Australia (specifically Adelaide/Melbourne/Sydney) with 2 guests?
For USD$99 for a month and the ability to bring the wife and kid into the lounge, it seems like incredible value!

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have a friend travelling to the states (MEL-LAX-JFK-LAX-MEL) with his wife and 2 young kids (2 and 5). Has anyone had any experiences as to whether he could get away with 1 pass or will he need to buy 2?

Also am I right in saying if he is on QF108 from JFK-LAX then there are no lounges he can use?

Lastly I assume he can still credit points/sc to QF and just show his AA card and receipt when entering the lounge.

I am planning on purchasing one of these the day before I go to the US in April. I expect to use it at CBR domestic, SYD Int, LA Dom, SFO Dom, LA Dom again, ORD dom and JFK Int. Apparently there is no lounge at MCO.

7 entries for $99 seems pretty reasonable.

One 30-day membership will be fine. I think QF108 departs from Terminal 7 but the AC is in Terminal 8 which can't be accessed for this departure. Points credit tp QF operates as normal.

Thanks for that answer this is what I expected. I will report back results however his flight is not until May.

I notice that the AA website does not mention T1 SYD, has anyone tried to or got into QP at T1 recently with the 30 day pass?

Most importantly, it is an A/C membership that lasts for 30 days.

It is not a "pass".

It bestows holders all Admirals Club rights, including entry with guest to any physically accessible open Qantas Club or Qantas international business lounge before a flight on Qantas.
