Hey guys. Just thought I'd share the email reply I got from Admirals Club for those who may be interested. Cheers.

Thank you for contacting Admirals Club Member Services. I appreciate the opportunity to respond.

The 30-Day Admirals Club membership is a full membership for 30 consecutive days. As a member, you are welcome to visit the Qantas Clubs, domestic and international, when traveling on Qantas operated flights. You must present your valid 30-Day membership receipt and boarding pass.

With your membership, you are eligible to invite up to 2 additional guests to accompany you when you visit. If you visit any Qantas Clubs with in North America, you are only eligible to invite 1 additional guest to accompany you.

I have just purchased the 30 day membership with a start date of April 3rd 2013 - email confirmation arrived straight away with that date also.

Too easy.

I didn't think you could buy a forward dated pass. I thought they were valid for the 30 days from purchase.

Sorry I have just seen the previous page where it is stated that you can choose a starting date up to 90 days in advance.

They can be forward dated. For my upcoming trip I have a 30 day membership good for 30 days from "04/02/2013". I'm hoping that Qantas reads this the US way but doesn't quibble about US time zones when I turn up on "02/04/2013".

Yeah see my next post I realized it had changed looking at the other posts. Re the date issue, just keep the receipt. If you only bought it in the past few days, how could you be buying one for February?

Yep, sure can. Great amendment to the 30 day membership purchase conditions.
$99 for two people for 30 days.. Seems like a good deal to me :)

I'm planning on buying one of these. Just wondering if anyone can tell me - I arr in NRT very early and cannot check in to htl till hours later.

Do you think I could go and wait in the QF lounge as an arrival / is it accessable? Is this just a stupid hope?

You won't even be able to physically access the QP or AC front doors, let alone get in.

They are Airside and you'll be landside after passing immigration and customs.

I have had absolutely no trouble using my 30 day pass in either Canberra domestic or Sydney international this morning. I had been in the Canberra lounge many times but first time in the Sydney international lounge. Very impressed. I didn't know they also had table service. The chicken burger was quite good and the beef korma and salad was excellent. I wish I had left room for a gelati but that would be just gluttony!!

(not to mention the fact I don't really fancy being sick on a 14 hour flight)

Looking forward to my first ever Qantas long haul flight to Los Angeles. 80k is booked and then home from London is 3A which should be even better!!!

Admirals Club is not listing any access in Dubai but to access any QF facilities (which would exclude EK) you would need to be travelling on QF if using this form of AC membership.

Re: 30 Days Admirals Club Membership

Can someone please tell me of admirals club membership entitles you to all the qantas club benefits (like priority check in, extra baggage etc) or does it simply allow club entry? Can you use the check in in the qantas club etc as an admirals member? If so seems a cheaper way of getting quasi qantas club membership?

I'd imagine not officially.

Most simply use it for lounge access with guest during a specific trip.

Re: 30 Days Admirals Club Membership

not sure about that ------but I have been meaning to post about my recent trip to Nth America & 30day Admiral Club, so (short and sweet)

prepurchased on line 30 day AC membership starting date of trip.

Used printout confirmation at Sydney international QF lounge + landed in DFW (oh my! the immigration queue) went to AC in terminal D, they waved away paperwork and just wanted my AA membership number.

No problems whatever. later went out for a look around terminal - found shockingly limited duty free choices. and found a OW lounge - they sent me away. so went back to the friendly AC lounge.

when travelling back to USA - YVR had no lounge to use (either OW or AC). transited again in DFW for MSY and the AC staff were helpful - on return MSY couldn't find a lounge.

next long delay in DFW (after bad weather, computer crash & Boston & Texas incidents) and used lounges again - all AC staff really helpful and also assisted with finding !upp fares.

returning to OZ lounge in LAX at TB no problems getting in + transiting in MEL, went to QF lounge and staff wasn't happy as it wasn't on their computer (provided them with printout) but sighed and said they'd do it this time. Definitely recommend the membership for a trip. missed out on platinum but will have gold QF.

...
Thanks for your report - it really great to see this generally works (although MEL T1 QP staff may need educating).

Of course you have QF SG now for over a year, so no need to purchase a 30 day membership in that period.

As another data point saying this works, for my work trip (Y only unfortunately) in November I bought the 30 day pass, and:
* Took the printout to the BNE QP, they looked slightly confused to start with but let me in after some fiddling around
* Went to the SYD intl lounge for my 5 hour layer, and they took a quick look at the print out and let me in without question. It was a while ago, but I don't think they even looked at my ticket
* DFW's immigration queue was crazy as yummymummy said. The admirals lounge didn't present any problems, and the price of the pass was definitely made up by having access to a shower. This was the first non-QF lounge I'd ever been in, and was disappointed I had to pay for my own beer :)
* The start of the next leg in RDU, much the same as DFW
* DFW again, still no problems
* Going home, XNA was too small to have a lounge. I was surprise my 43-seat plane was a jet (too small to fit into the aerobridge to get off)
* DFW yet again, still no problems.

Apart from the slight confusion at the start in the BNE QP I didn't have any problems at all.
