Abbreviations and explanations

Re: Abreviations and Explanations

Thank you Dave! So that's what JohnK is doing. Will look at that for my North American jaunt next year.

In a months time, watch out my travel log for June. This week I'm flying 6 segments on AA using YUP's. In my case they booked into P class which earns F SC's on QFF for AA travel (as does A class). ;)

Re: Abreviations and Explanations

Serfty, in 1.5 months time look out for my request for help in constructing a YUP fare!!
Meanwhile, enjoy!!

Spend as little as possible to go a long way towards elite status on QF. ;)

Re: Abreviations and Explanations

JohnK, that's what I paln to do! Like you all my trips are self funded (albeit by my own small business), but hey, its still my own money!;)

Re: Abreviations and Explanations

Hello,

I've skimmed through most of this thread and have learnt many abbreviations that I have always wondered about.

One I don't think has been answered is what is LONE4? I know DONE4 is Business Class Oneworld 4 continents but I can't think what the L could stand for.

I hope it's nothing too obvious as I will feel quite stupid :P

thanks in advance

Silvia

L is a discount Economy Class fare bucket; often used with oneworld products such as oneworld Explorer (e.g. LHONE4) or Circle pacific. (e.g. LCIR22).

There's a lot more information available on FlyerTalk: See here: The oneworld explorer ticket FAQs

Does a LHONE4 earn more points and SC's than a LONE4? :p

RHEGGIE
No, thath's noth a misthake.:p

A LHONE4 costs more than a LLONE4!

It's a correct fare code. The L/H represent Low & High season respectively for economy class xONEx's.

FWIW, the base ex Oz price for a LHONE4 is $3,479 and $3,289 for a LLHONE4.

Low Seasonality is as follows:
Code:
FROM/TO AUSTRALIA FOR LL- TYPE FARES ORIGINATING AUSTRALIA - PERMITTED
01JAN THROUGH 27MAY OR 16AUG THROUGH 02DEC OR 25DEC THROUGH 31DEC
DEPARTURE OF FIRST OUTBOUND INTERCONTINENTAL.

Re: Abreviations and Explanations

Anyway, real reason for coming to this post, someone want to add what SATS is due to a a post in the Qantas Forum

Re: Abreviations and Explanations

Singapore Airport Terminal Services.

This thread, and more importantly post #7, can only be maintained admin or a moderator.

Just send a PM to one of the moderators asking if they can update post #7 with relevant description for SATS.

Thanks JohnK.

I am sure one of those Moderator type people will organise if they think it is needed.

Hi - I'm Tanya and am new to this forum. Whilst not really a frequent flyer I hoped I could use fellow travellers advice here for planning my trip next year to UK/Paris. Have been reading today but am a bit confused by lots of abbreviations

Wondered whether anyone would mind helping out - perhaps start with the aircraft classes if that's OK? Airlines too? Just so I can start understanding your wonderful posts :D

With thanks - Tanya

Sorry - as a newbie didn't do a proper search!! Just found the Abbreviations and Explanations thread. This will be great! Thanks for your time anyway!

Re: Abreviations and Explanations

Just found this thread and while finding it extremely helpful I cracked up at some of the abreviations for Qantas. As a one time Chairman's Lounge member gradually declining to Silver thru lack of Qantas use I couldn't agree more.
