Honestly, I have had nothing but inconsistent experiences with Accor to the point that I don't even know what to expect. Last time I used the card the person got upset that I had screenshot the card and wanted to see it in the app, despite the fact the card looks identical in app and screenshot, has an expiry date on it and has no animation or anything that differentiates it from the screenshot. I had to actually show her that I clicked into the app to get to it for her to be happy.
In the past I've had multiple properties tell me I should have showed the card earlier, but I've also had some proactively tell me they are aware I am an Accor Plus member (eg Novotel Geelong recently) and that my discount was applicable.
So it's a real mixed bag. Anyway, I show the card at the start so if they start umming and ahhing I can just go dine elsewhere. I've had too many disappointments finding out after the meal that they have some sort of Location, Restaurant, Brand, Peak Period, etc based exclusion. I always expect the worst with Accor.
