Accor Plus Membership Discussion

My new card arrived today with a complimentary voucher for breakfast for two at any Accor property in Australian, NZ and Fiji. Haven't seen this benefit reported before, so a nice little addition.

I received this once with my original card. Landing up using it around three or four times until they actually wanted to keep it.

Indeed - handy for those without >=Platinum status. Does it need to be in conjunction with a stay, or can you just rock up to an eligible restaurant any time?

Cheers,
Matt.

My new card received abut 2 weeks ago didn't come with free breaky.

Is this your first year of renewal?
The Accor plus free breakfast voucher is usually only for those that renew for the first time.
It’s not something you get every year

Yes first time renewal

There are promotions around to get a breakfast voucher when signing up, but AFAIK it's not a standard part of the offer.

Paid subscription or complimentary via Amex Platinum?

Actually I think you're right and I was mistaken. It was on my first renewal that I received the breakfast voucher.

Interesting. I didn't get a voucher for my first renewal in April/May 2021, although travel was still quite restricted at that time.

I did get a set of Accor branded bluetooth earphones in lieu of voucher I guess

Question on the 50% discount on dining. If I show my Silver Accor card before dining and then pay with my Am Ex card at the end. Will I get the points added to my account. I have linked a Visa Card in the App but would prefer to pay with Am Ex.

Charge it to your room to be certain of the points.

I pay all my Accor bills on Amex and get the dining points seemlessly because its billed to the room and also provides evidence of spend if you need to follow-up.

Thanks Lynda, but I'm not staying at the hotel.
