Accor Plus Membership Discussion

I understand now that if you book two rooms at the same hotel and staying in one of them, you'll get the Reward Points and Status Points for both but only Status Nights for one. Is this the same case if you book rooms in different hotels on the same night?
Yes.youll generally only get a night for the first one to post.the system detects overlapping stays.
 
The system won't let you double up like that (it knows you can only be at one place at a time). By all means give it a try and report back :)

You can definitely book multiple hotels in your name for the same night. I've got a couple of bookings in Chicago for January at both the Fairmont and Sofitel. Unsure which location I'll want so I'll cancel one (or both). No problems making the booking.

Thank you to each of you for confirming that (and so quickly as well - much appreciated). I thought that that might indeed be the case (though was quietly hoping otherwise).

And I will add that Accor are very inflexible with their policy on this. I’ve had a few times where I’ve had late flights out and book an extra night but have a property booked at my arrival destination for when I get in at the crack of dawn and they still won’t credit both nights so I’ve got to the point where I book a different brand for them now

If these conditions do not provide for a right to cancel or if the cancellation right has already expired, the hotel will charge the first night at the rate including VAT.

Seemingly no blackouts - booked the Admiral Manila MGallery exec suite in early Jan, free cancellation.. a bit over $300pn. Fingers crossed for an upgrade to the next category 😂 (presidential!)
 
Does checking in online affect your chances of a free upgrade? First time I checked in online happens to be the first time I didn't get an upgrade. I thought that maybe checking in online locks in your room type.

I've never checked in on line for that possibility and I don't think I've ever not had an upgrade at a higher end establishment.

I'm not certain it would affect upgrades, unless the property is in the habit of waiting to be asked to assign any upgrades. My view is that given there are no benefits with Accor and the ALL app to checking in online (no confirmation of room type, no digital key, etc.), there's probably little benefit to checking in online anyway? Maybe I'm missing something though... possibly good for late day / evening arrivals so they know you are coming?

Interesting and positive development I saw posted on Fb earlier. Looks to be in the Android app.

Anyone on Android with an upcoming booking that can see whether online check-in appears any different or offers a digital key? Might be property specific, as well.

Edit: looks like that same app is available on iOS as well. I’ve downloaded, and will see if it does anything when I next have a stay (not until Jan, at this point!)

I was looking to join Accor Plus last week taking advantage of recently offered discount/promo $249.
Agent said that price was no longer on offer but if I joined that day at $299, would remain All Gold until Sept 2024.

Called today as $249 offer was still on Fb as a sponsored ad.
But information from the previous agent was incorrect, I would drop to Silver🙄

After discussing with his TL, have been given Gold till November next year.
Will be happy when I see it reflected on my App.
 
On a different note , can I please ask the experts if points will be awarded on breakfast at Accor properties if it was charged to the room and how do I differentiate the points awarded for stay/dining. Thanks

Yes, meals charged to the room will earn points.

Not sure you can differentiate how they were awarded. Why does it matter though?
 
Wanted to confirm if the points were for stay plus night or the parking or in fact for the breakfast which was opted in during the time of check-in.

No significance but for my own clarity.

The Stay Plus night itself won't generate any points, only any other things charged to the room
