Accor Plus Membership Discussion

I too use to get a call to renew, however last time I think I only got an email. Mine is due next month, so I will monitor it.

I sent an email on Tuesday morning using an online form about not having received anything about my renewal. Also used the on line chat and was told someone would contact me. Still waiting for a call or email.

Fond a link on the website to renew which i did do yesterday. Within a minute my digital card had updated on the app showing that my Platinum status expires 30 June 2023. Happy days!!!!

I received an eMail from QBR:
SYD, enjoy up to 50% off hotel stays on your next business trip

Basically in invite to sign up for an Accor Plus Business Explorer membership:

For just $399 a year you'll enjoy:
1. A complimentary hotel night;
2. Up to 50% off rooms and dining;
3. An exclusive 10% off the best available room; and more.

This is across all participating Accor hotels and resorts like Sofitel, MGallery, Pullman, Swissotel, Novotel and Mercure.

And right now, you'll earn 10,000 Qantas Points when you join by 31 July 2022.

Is this the same as regular Accor Plus or different?

I already got myself (my company) enrolled in the SME Business Program (fee free but you need to get enough nights in per year across all employees to maintain the discounts):

Not sure if I can double dip?
My latest QBR email is now saying that I’d get comp Accor Gold (normally Sliver) if I sign up for Accor+ Business Explored. That’s in addition to 10,000 pts and listed benefits.

I‘m already Gold but only until the end of the year (thanks to ongoing covid extensions) but then I was going to buy Ibis Business for €90 that always comes with Accor Gold.

So what do we think? Good value? I guess I can expense the annual fee as an added enticement.

Hi All I have a Accor Plus free night stay about to expire very soon can anyone recommend a way to extend this, I already have extended once and Have called a month ago and was told they will not extend, I was hoping there is some Hack to extend

Thanks

Clive

I don’t currently have Accor Plus so I can’t search for availability.

I am curious how many hotels there are where a free night is available and you don’t have to book more than that one night.

I’m curious about multiple places but Sydney availability will be a good starting point for this investigation.

Generally, with Accor Plus is it a ‘thing’ that most places don’t allow 1 free night to be booked without multiple other nights also being booked? What’s the average that people find, most of the time?

There are some hotels, which require a minimum number of nights, in which to use your free night.

Yep I just wanted to gauge it most of them required that?
IME, i havent had an issue, but i believe it to be more so with Hotels that are privately owned ( Mantra/Pepper units ) as the hotel only receives a very small amount of $$ for the night from Accor, so they want it to be worth their while im guessing.

I used mine at Como MGallery in Melbourne, was able to do 1 night but I stayed for 2 nights.

a friend of mine had an expiring night end aug 22 and it just seemed to be rolled over and he now has 3 nights how od!

I’m a lowly ALL silver, but have been a long term member for about 20 years and I got the extra free night. When it was time to renew last year I still had my free night left because of the timing of my year and various lockdowns. They agreed to roll it over for me, so this year I have already used 2 free nights no have now scored anothe. That’s gone a long way to restoring my perception of the value of the program.
I got 2x Stay Free nights, but only in 2021 during the height of COVID, and now just 1 till Aug 2023 Accor Plus Silver gratis from Amex Plat Charge Card

You can also join Accor plus via another country and you'll get the same perks.
1 night free and upto 50% off meals

Fiji is a common one, effective price is around AU$205/yr

A digital Accor Plus card will appear in the app also, and presenting that works fine for getting the 50% off at restaurants

Another way to get Accor Plus for free I've discovered is the AmEx Platinum card. Sure the annual fee is a little pricey at $1,450/year but you get a ton of statement credits for travel and dining to say nothing of the lounge access and international airline program that offers 5-10% discount on a Premium Economy, Business or First class fare.

@sudoer I have had Accor Plus for many years and I had no idea about the member for a day voucher, I always thought it was just to get a members rate , but didn't know it included the dining. Thanks for the information!
