Accor Plus Membership Discussion

Staying at Sofitel Brisbane using free night.
Last night (Sunday) got 50% off dining in restaurant.
Prepaid yesterday for buffet breakfast at check-in so got 50% off - a saving of $70 ($54 + 2 x 15% public holiday surcharges).
End of Feb renewal for my Accor+
It has proven to be very valuable with significant discounts across the year.

Dinner tonight at an Accor venue for which I used the Accor Plus dining benefit.

Dinner for two adults (so 50% off) plus a kids meal ($14, no discount).

Total before A+ $161 (inc kids meal).

Final price $75. 🤷‍♂️

No complaints, but a real head scratcher.
On Australia Day @Captain Halliday ? Good one, thought it wouldn't apply as it is a public holiday- of sorts 🇻🇬

As per post by @jase05 above, the discount was available yesterday because it was not a public holiday.

Today (Monday) is the public holiday.

Interestingly, there’s a sign at the bar this morning saying NO Accor Plus, but it also says NO drink vouchers.

Unclear if this means the welcome drink vouchers or some other type of vouchers.

Hello experts , we have stays booked in Japan for around 11 nights in Apr 2025 and I am currently A+ Gold. Will there be any additional benefit/perks if I were to subscribe to Accor Signature program ; it will definitely help me reach platinum for next year but checking if the annual subscription costing nearly 1900$ will give me any significant benefit when staying at any of the accor properties as A+ gold. I want to make sure sure that the dollars we spend are going to be break even in form of perks/discount.

Appreciate your tip/suggestions.

IMO, yes.

The value of the points added to your account exceeds the cost of the membership.

This allows you to “pay with points” for future stays without further cash outlay.

Since you are already Gold, just buy the top tier Accor China membership (rrp is under AUD600), which will give you +30 nights, instantly taking you to Platinum (also gives a free night in China, HK or Macau only). The second tier membership costs around aud330 and gives +20 nights, if that's all you need to hit the 60 night platinum threshold. Note: only available via wechat or alipay mini-apps.

I feel differently.

ALL Signature is a great way to get to Diamond status (edit: but with the highest ALL Signature plan, only about halfway there!). ALL Signature gives Status Points, not Status Nights. The Rewards Points is a great by-product to get back the cost of the outlay. Of course you could achieve the lower Platinum status through Status Points.

ALL China is a great way to get to Platinum Status. ALL China gives 30 or 20 Status Nights - no Status Points. Also remember you will get 20 Status Nights if/when you renew AccorPlus.

So I think you need some personal reflection to clarify what you want to achieve and how you want to achieve it. Aiming for Status through Points and Nights seems counter-productive.

Also you need to operate/calculate on the calendar year basis. We are only in February. If you have stayed 19 nights already (or plan to before Japan), add the 11 nights in Japan, only then will the 30 nights from ALL China get you to 60 Status Nights (and Platinum for the rest of the 2025, plus 2026). And you won't need the 20 nights from AccorPlus. So much of it depends on your planned Accor stays during this calendar year.
