AccorPlus China

I tried to do Alipay and Fliggy and it refused to verify my payment method so I stuck with WeChat which I’ve used before in HK and China.

Fliggy took me all the way through to payment on my credit card but there was no field where I could log into my Accor account. Next step is to activate the card (after which I can no longer request a refund) so hopefully it is at this point that I log into my Accor account to link the card. I'm waiting on confirmation from customer service before I activate.
Success - finally! After waiting a couple of days and not hearing back from Customer Service, I went back into the Fliggy app to contemplate applying for a refund. Using another translation app, I found my way to the Accor store and saw that my ALL membership number had been auto added. I guess it was linked through email. I managed to find the activation link and within a few minutes, the nights had dropped in my ALL account and Platinum status achieved before 31 December.

Anybody using the Alipay app have issues with getting the phone number accepted when trying to enter the details for the Happy Edition 5? Tried a few different formats without success.
I entered my mobile number using the international format of dropping the zero after the country code which returned an error. Once I added the zero back, it was accepted.

Great to hear!!!

I signed up using the WeChat mini program and logged in/linked my Accor account before buying and activating the ALL China membership, but the status nights didn't come through. I messaged the customer service rep through WeChat (that was interesting), and they're adamant I've got the nights applied. It will take time for the app/ALL website to reflect the new status.

I did it a couple of days ago on another account and it came through very quickly I’d say probably less than 5 mins and the status was updated immediately as well.

The weird thing is, ALL China and Accor themselves say they can see the 60 nights and confirmed I am now platinum, but the app/website isn't syncing. Accor says they've forced a sync (whatever that means) and should see an update in 24-48 hours. I'm not holding my breath.

Hi, looking to join this as booked a trip to China and Hong Kong , would there be anyone willing to,check to see if the hotels we looking to stay come up with the free nights or 50% off deal ? Would be a shame to join and then not able to use the discount rooms. Thanks

Sure, send through your dates and properties and I can check for you.

Mondrian HK doesn't show up at all on Wechat FYI. And the free nights are mainly for Novotel Citygate and MGallery Silveri, which are super far away from the main HK island, although only 50 mins away by the metro.

I am seeing the Ibis in the city come up as free on some nights.

The Mondrian is relatively new to All. I wouldn’t bother using a free night for either of the Ibis’s, they are often under $100, the Northpoint property is one of my favorites. If I had a free night would use it at the Citygate property, easy enough to get to the CBD if needed, free shuttle from HKIA and lots of local eating/shopping options. Their suites are big, only downside is a very average lounge.

The one I was looking at on the English Accor website signed in as an Accor plus was showing around AU$180 room rate. I originally paid AU$282 for the middle tier All China in July last year and only did so as it ticked me over to Platinum and I knew I’d get more then $282 benefit out of the suite night upgrades, free breakfast and lounge access. Originally when purchasing I had no intentions of using the free night but now it’s looking like my travel might take me through Hong Kong and possibly Beijing so a big bonus to be able to use the free night.

Are there any active discount codes to use for subscribing to Accor Plus China ,thanks

Pardon my ignorance but how do we use wechat to subcribe to Accor Plus China ?

There is a slight promotion for 6 more days due to Chinese New Year with a 100 yuan discount off the middle tier and 200 yuan discount off the top tier.

It’s a WeChat mini program. First download and setup WeChat account. Then scan the AllChina qrcode which is a circle towards the bottom of this page, must scan with the we chat app.

Once in the app you can press the three dots in the top right to translate into English. Then under the third person tab on the bottom right can sign in, by default it has mobile phone number sign in but can change that to email and password to login with the same password as the normal Accor website/app.

The middle tab at the bottom is the cards so pick the one you want and pay. You’ll need to link a payment card to WeChat but once done you can buy the card. Technically the card isn’t active by default so it’ll prompt you to activate the card. It then take a couple of minutes for the status nights to credit.

On the middle and top tier cards you get free nights to use which if you’re passing through China/Hong Kong can be good value (I’ve got my moneys worth out of the cards on 3x nights in Hong Kong).

It’s me again 😜

I subscribed to Accor China last April so am happy to share my experience (though neither prescriptive or definitive).

I am a bit lucky in a sense I then already had a (dormant) WeChat account, the app installed, and am able to read Chinese. I mentioned this, as despite the above advantages, I still struggled at times to understand how it works (but eventually I got there!).

I try to understand the scheme this way. Notwithstanding how it’s called, it is more/simply a different App (similar to the ALL app) that run as a “mini program” within your WeChat App. So assuming you have set up a WeChat account, the next step is to navigate within Mini Probram to install this “All” app.

Interestingly, you ARE NOT going to have a new membership. I opt for sign in my existing (Aus) ALL account using my current profile (username and password). Hopefully you will log on to your current account and then can use this app for your desired booking (Greater China and now extending to Japan and Singapore) but the rates are quite inferior to what you will get from here. They did run their own specials from time to time so there had been bargains somehow.

Accor China is actually 3 different packages of VOUCHERs that you can subscribe within that App. All the free nights and discount stays are by means of redeeming the vouchers and as usual, the redemption is subject to award room (not just room) availability. The free status nights are sweeteners but now they virtually become the core product to many of us.

I shall stop here and hopefully you will get more information from fellow AFFers.
