The QF WP's are very happy with Thai. I shall order a couple of FDR 1A's from my friend who works for Yalumba.

Had a couple of bottles of the FDR 1A last week after your recommendations last time we met QF WP...

The FDR 1A's that I got were IIRC 2010 - you've gone above and beyond.

Thinking of trying to organise some for our dinner event on Sat night - but as I only arrive on Fri night, don't know how I'm going to be able to collect. There's always retail or Dan Murphys.

I'm sure we can get some orders at $21.60 a bottle...

I hope drinks are still on but reading through the thread I can't see a venue listed.
My understanding is Aeolus is in MEL for a few days so we wait and see.
Look forward to catching up with those that are unable to make it on Sunday.

......and don't forget our other event on Friday 19 September.

I was going to go for Udaberri

Hidden in the fine print - something about lawyers.....

Anyway, unless there is a general chorus of disapproval, I am thinking of Udaberri for drinks followed by Peel St Bistro for dinner. Leigh St/Peel St precinct because it is equidistant between Hilton and CP

Suggested timing 6pm drinks, then 7pm dinner. If people agree then I will book next week.

I was only going to organize dinner, not good at planning drinks venue unfortunately. Can someone suggest where to go? I'm in Syd till Wed but gave the restaurant a call tonight. They don't have a set banquet but more than happy to develop one. I have a list of 2 entrees and 5 main dishes which I am waiting for them to price up. Banquet will be done as 2 sets of 7 pax/set so should be enough food.

The restaurant venue has been changed so that's probably the reason for that.

It doesn't bother me either way. Now that I've Qantas tool bar searched Udaberri, I might have to go there once regardless.
