I think this is the same as the Lurpak butter thread.

I'm getting some tomorrow. :)

Rumball in the photo is very popular amongst our group and is half the price of many champagnes. Have you tried it? Many girls love it!

Cove, yes the Rumball is a favourite here too, doesn't everybody love a sparkling red... ?

Also rated by us is Fox Creek Vixen Sparkling Red, Grant Burge Sparkling Red & although slightly cheaper in price we think the Seppelt Original Sparkling Shiraz Vintage is great value... Unfortunately all the above are not Champagne, hence OT... Sorry about that folks

I have not tried it yet medhead... Any Good...? I guess so since your investment of 18 bottles...

Hopefully I'll try it tonight.

18 bottles? My mistake. :oops

I took 50% of stock and there is 3 bottles left ;) but if it helps Keith's heart we could say 18 bottles for me to whinge about if its bad.

I also let DMs know about the shelve holding about a dozen Pol Roger that was missing one of the lugs and was ready to fall.

Sorry medhead I thought you were talking about cartons... :D after all its 1) easier to carry and store and 2) its always good to have an extra bottle or two, three, four and maybe lots lots more

More OT: Love Jansz Premium Rose. About as good as an Aussie sparkling goes, along with Lubiana Brut by Stefano Lubiana. We stick with methode traditionalle sparkles in lieu of champagne.

But now enjoying a very tasty Billecart-Salmon rose in anticipation of the Lenoble Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc 06 for our 5th anniversary dinner tonight. :)

Yep the Louis (Lewis, in my best Zac G voice) Auger is rather acceptable. Towards the sweet end of the spectrum. will suit the in-laws for Christmas day, who prefer the fruitwood varietals, before I put them onto the riccadona.

As good as if not better than Moët and the price is good.

Off tomorrow to get the other 50% ?

I wish we found Louis Auger at Dan's before we bought a case of Dupperey for our visit to the in-laws for Christmas. Both are excellent champagnes at that price point and bang for buck but Louis Auger is priced much nicer. :)

Drank a bottle tonight. Was quite impresses, very easy to drink.

Went out to DM and bought a case with my friend.

Personal opinion of course - IMHO LA not within a bull's roar of Moët - even considering the price diff - but each to their own of course.
