Advice on champagne

Finally I can now enjoy Champagne for brekkie every morn and not feel too guilty:

On a serious note Dan's have Mumm at $37.90 in any six - take off the wish and cash back and it's about $32.50 I think - gotta be a great buy at that.

Now on that package - and the Deutz sheep dip - we are in accord. No disagreement at all. :)

$32.40 a bottle using Wish & Qwibble... Very affordable everyday Champagne.

I'll open and enjoy a Mumm any day of the week - good honest value IMHO.

I had the most dreadful headache after drinking Mumm last weekend with a bunch of friends.
Shrek maintains that the reason for this is that it's likely the Mumm was consumed after several glasses of Veuve and Taittinger.
I think he's wrong and that I would have been fine if the last bar visited had actually served Taittinger.

I think it was the Mumm. The F1 drivers must know something too, they don't drink much of it, just spray it around. :D

Are you sure this wasn't a simple quantity issue? ;)

Strangely, champagne is a fluid I can drink until I feel enough is enough (the point just before the head starts to swim when the eyes are closed) without ever having a headache next morning (usually that morning). :D

I have gone through about a case worth of Mumm and it was honestly putrid. I'll just chalk it up to taste buds... I also don't like Dom and would take a bottle of Bollinger/pol roger/billiecart NV any day. On a side note has everyone tried the Lanson gold? I think its awesome value for 50 bucks a bottle ATM.

Had the Lanson Gold on VA last week and really enjoyed it. But I also don't mind the odd bottle of Mumm.

The Lanson Gold 2004 has been a frequent attendee at pre-dinner drinks here recently. More than pleasant. :)
And if Shintaro can't cope with all your leftover Cordon Rouge, I'm happy to help, too. :p
