My partner said she found this for dinner tomorrow night and attached this photo. I said it was out of our price range. Turns out it was a prize. I can't find any accurate info regarding the retail value. Out of interest can anyone give me a ball park figure? I see the 2004 retails for $189-200.

Be worth about $200. 2002 was a great vintage in Champagne. The best between 1996 and 2008. Time will till if 2008 exceeds 2002, but in all likelihood will. Enjoy!

The Dan's Champagne index has Moet back to under $46 (in any six) which is a more realistic price than a week ago (13% Less)... Mumm can be had for a couple of $$ less than that.

However the value still seems to be with the be with the Veuve @ $54.95 in any 6 and the Bollinger & Billecart @ $56.90 in any 6.

Tattinger is still @ $49.85, however most of us have already loaded up on this via Epiqure for $300 a box (6) and a handy 3,000 QFF for taking up the challenge...

Those in the know, will now know the secret to get 14.6% off the above at their local Dan's... Happy drinking over Easter everyone...

What will you be drinking this Easter...?

Just sampled the Mansard Rose on offer at the JAL F lounge in NRT. I liked it but I'm sure Keith009 knows it more intimately than me. That is the only 'pagne they had on offer. Apparently JAL F changes bubbles every three months. Next change is 1 July.

With the 6 Billecart still in the boot we went the Moet, the Moondah Classic White and a Cullens Diana for our Good Friday lunch. All good but all pre 14.6% off as that is new to me with Qwibble/Woolies Wish.

I still like the Moet too cove... wonderful on the nose and always an enjoyable everyday drink...! I know some don't like it, but for me its always OK

We are talking about champagne and so by definition it has to come from Champagne, France.

My better half drinks Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve that she bought off Qantas epiQure (around $60). For special occasions, it is usually a bottle of the 2000 Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill (around $300).

Both excellent choices for entirely different reasons !!!

Just grabbed another case of Taittinger from Epiqure to replenish the supplies. Buyers remorse has me thinking I should have got at least 2 cases. The stuff lasts if kept well (or I drink it all) ;)

yes it is really a good buy CFWM, the price is nearly as good as Dan's but the points are the clincher... the 3,900 points will come in very handy to use with a MASA before June 30, or for upgrades after...

Just popped into Costco to check out the champagne prices. $53 for Veuve, $44ish for the Moët, and $43ish for the Mumm gift pack with two flutes. Also spotted Wolf Blass grey label Shiraz for $29 but that doesn't belong in this thread....

Can I be enlightened on the 14.6%....? I've used qwibble (although none have paid yet from as far back as Jan), but it's not that high a discount?

Qwibble 9.6% for the champagne specials at Dans then pay with RAC sourced Woolies Wish cards to get the other 5%.
You can pay on your Woolies EDRCC to get the gift cards and get a point a dollar and of course if your order is over $300 you can pick free delivery. Before too long you won't be able to afford to save any more money.

Ah of course. Forgot about the gift cards. Great ideas! How long does qwibble usually take to pay out? I'm at 3 months and counting on a DMs purchase

N860CR did you give them a correct bank account number as 3 months is about the wait time. Make sure they have the BSB and account number and name then be patient.

Yeh I did. None of them are listed in whatever the final "ready to pay" column is yet. If nothing happens in the next few weeks I'll have to chase it

Tempting. And mum doesn't even drink Champagne. Shame. I'd have to drink it for her.
