Advice on champagne

sounds wonderful! Any new favourites / recommendations?

My favourites - although not new to me, at least - were the Larmandier Bernier, Egly Ouriet, Gosset, Philipponat, Canard-Duchene, Henriot and Delamotte. Those are not really at the cheaper end of the scale though. :(

The ones I had not "met" before were the Jerome Blin, Henri Goutorbe and Godme. For me, the Goutorbe was probably the best of those, priced at $55. (The cheapest on offer was Deutz Cuvee Classic - but that's definitely not on my preferred list, so someone else can have my share of that.:)

One other that I didn't know was Paul Bara Brut Reserve Grand Cru. Quite good, I thought, but at $80 I would prefer others.

Thanks!
Philipponat is divine, but there's some new-to-me in that list. Best do some more research ;-)

fantastic!
yup, that's the fancy world cup packaging- rather than bubbles it has soccer balls holograms on the bottle label
nice find!

Still waiting for mine; first to order and last to receive? Even mum got the case I ordered for her already...

Makes sense - It's old packaging from a campaign which has since finished.
