Aeroplan (Air Canada) is now selling points

Do these point purchases apply if you are converting amex points to aeroplan?
This is a straight out 'buy points' promo, 'cash' only.

Different credit cards may offer bonuses from time to time when transfering from your CC to a FF program.

Has anyone explored whether you can do Aus to the US via Europe. Thinking of SQ 25 and 26 here so it would be BNE to SIN to FRA (stopover in Frankfurt) then a few days later to NY

This looks good. Now need to work out how many points to Europe return to work out whether cash fare is better.

Bugger, just after I bought some at 100%! This is a very good offer!!

Given you can do dummy searches without the points fairly easy to check this out!

Thanks did not know this. Fairly new to Aeroplan so still learning the game.

This great promo to top up my aeroplan points from 2x 50K HSBC *A cards. Spending $3K a month is not enough to bring it up to 4 tix for oversea trip.

Tempted to buy, but what a shame that JAL and ANA premium award seats are pretty much non existent on American bound flights.

Bit disappointing. Availbility I can easily see on SQ across multiple dates is not showing up on Aeroplan.
So having spent a few hours searching, have decided not to buy. Such limited availability to both US and Europe, any most using Air India from Europe to Australia. Lifemiles had more availability on some dates!!!

SQ availability to KrisFlyer members on the SQ website is not the same as what SQ make available to AC. Much less in fact - OZ-Asia and OZ-FRA seem to be the best (also OZ-LHR and AMS seem OK as well). Other cities in Europe and SIN-North America not so good.

Yes, but isn't some LM availability phantom?

Air India has been way upgraded recently, and lots of new a350s.

Booking early we pretty much had a pick of SQ flights, timings, routes and departure cities. Right down to whether we wanted 1, 3 or 7 hour transits in Singapore!

I was looking at May and June next year, right up until the day when the seats got released. 1 seat every 4-5 days is not good enough for me to take a punt.

Depends on the city you are looking at. Loads of availability out of BNE and ADL
BNE to SIN what not the problem it was SIN onwards to Europe and US. LIkewise in the opposite direction, Europe to SIN was not existent in May or June apart from some days on Air India.

I’ve had good results booking SQ J with aeroplan one year out or so, I like that their taxes are quite low compared to let’s say Velocity.

Do you use any tools for LifeMiles availability? Every time I tried using their calendar I could not find anything.

I think a lot of award tools such as Seats.Aero no longer show lifemiles availability
