- Does anyone add non-airline flights to their Flight Tracker? I have done a lot of charter/GA/private jet flights over the years, just wondering if anyone adds these flights or whether it is purely an airline/RPT tool

I have. All you need is a pair of airport codes - but which may not be possible for all strips where you have been.

Couple of questions for the Flight Tracker Boffins on the forum...

- Historical Ansett flights. Can I assume there would be absolutely no way to access old passenger records for flights with Ansett prior to their demise, given I don't have any records [but have fairly good idea of rough dates and itineraries]?

- Same for old Qantas flights in the nineties. Any way to request old flights based on QF FF member number?

Thanks for any info

I've added charter/private flights.

You can get old QF flight info over the phone I believe or you can cough up some FF points for it. You can also request international departure and arrival cards from the government. There are details of that in another thread somewhere.

Good point, figured I would be limited to recognised airfields with an IATA/ICAO designator.
Given I had a decade or more of flights on floatplanes, seaplanes, and helicopters out to remote islands in various countries for work, a significant number of these will be a write-off.
Still, the experiences more than make up for not being able to stick them on a flight tracker app..

I'll add the others though, good for nostalgia and a snapshot of some of the weirder places I got to fly to.

You can add airports too (or should be able to) but maybe not without IATA codes.

Cheers, have managed to add an airport or two in the past, although some didn't get processed.

Thanks for the advice on Qantas flights too - I'll dig around for a contact number or email address [unless anyone knows how to get in touch with them].
I'm fairly remote at the moment so getting on the phone isn't an immediate option. Will follow up when I can.

I did see the thread on requesting international movements - the ones I am chasing are domestic so that might save a bunch of paperwork. The various missing flights I have in mind are from the old days of the round Australia J trips for 25-30k points. I took advantage of a bunch of these in the nineties - those were the days...

I've just tried to add an airport but it's not accepting it:
Adding new airport failed: INSERT INTO airports(name, city, country, iata, icao,x,y,elevation, timezone, dst, uid) VALUES('Nzerekore Airport', 'Nzerekore', 'Guinea', 'NZE', 'GUNZ', -8.7017975, 7.8060193, 4921 ft, 0, 'E', 128)

NZE has been added for you.

Hi,

I added a bunch of flights the other day. I just went back to add some more and noticed some weird details in the flight list view (text in a few of the notes fields, which I hadn't used). Clicking on a flight and the departure time had "QF", carrier was "American Airlines" (when it should've been Qantas), plane was blank but rego had "Airbus A380-800", trip was blank instead of the trip I had selected, and note had "4089" when it should've been blank. I fix the entry, click save, move one flight away and then back and the entry is full of rubbish again!

Any ideas? Cheers.

Been having the same issue for a while.

My guess is a corrupt database

Even editing the corrupt entries only fixes them occasionally.
I find it gets worse when I edit aircraft types and flight dep/arr times

Maybe an admin can look into it.
I'm happy to send screenshots and export files to them if it helps to show where the problems are.

I've had this happen to me. I've ended up just deleting the offending flight and re-adding it.

Same here happens now and again randomly only way to fix is delete that row and re-add.

Could we also fix the location of Moomba Airport (IATA: MOO, ICAO: YOOM) it appears to have relocated itself from outback SA to somewhere near Towoomba in QLD - must have had someone do a typo in longitude?

I tried to edit and save changes, but it sent them for review? Not sure where.

Currently admin is away from his computer but I'll note the database issue to be looked at in the future and hopefully we can do something about it.

Would still be good if the admins can fix the problem so it stops recurring though. Just did a scroll through all of my flights over the years and noticed there are now a lot of these corrupt entries. Going back and finding travel records for them to delete and re-enter them from scratch takes time, if they are only going to get errors again later.

While there are some airports being corrected, could an admin kindly fix Shark Bay Airport in Denham, Western Australia.
Incorrectly listed airport code as DNM, where it should be MJK. [originally built by Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, hence the MJK code]

I submitted MJK as an airport ages ago to Openflights but it was never added, possibly because DNM was there instead.

I've added a couple of private flights involving YBEE and port augusta to openflights, but they didn't translate over to AFF flight tracker. I also add train trips to openflights.

You could try contacting Qantas via the online form. IIRC the cost to get flight history is 5000 points.

Hi all

Could someone help with a Flight Tracker question please? Trying to add flights between AEP-IGR and IGR-EZE but as soon as I enter IGR the page freezes. Is IGR just non-selectable?

Cheers
Pete

ignore me, just worked it out, just two flights at a time :)

Anyone having issues with AFF Flight Tracker today? It keeps telling me to log in to AFF.

EDIT: Forgot to click remember me....
