Is there a syncing issue between flight tracker and the "My Travels" summary underneath the posters avatar?

My flight tracker says I have done 222 flights, My Travels says only 215 flights?

I am having a problem with AFF Flight Tracker when trying to use/access it with my IPad.

It functions fine from my laptop. However, on my IPad, if I try to access it through Member Services or by clicking on my, or others, "View My Flight Map" it simply whirls (a technical term) around for a while and comes back with a white screen with "Not here" on it.

It used to operate reasonably well on my IPad. Has anything changed in the IOS version? Could some of my IPad settings be wrong? Any suggestions/help would be most gratefully accepted.

No syncing issues. Have you changed your Flight Tracker profile settings? If you look at OpenFlights: About, you will see that yo added 4 flights yesterday, but your username is non-clickable. That usually means that your profile is hidden. I guess that could impact what is shown on "My Travels"

Sorry, I can't replicate your issue. I can view Flight Maps on my iPad.

when i try to use it, it shows that Qantas has a flight from BNE to MNL, for example.

Flight tracker only accepts what you tell it.

There is no validation.

If you state you have flown from BNE to MNL on Qantas then it will believe you.

Flight Tracker will show any route, assigned to any airline, that you enter into it.

i was just asking the system where you could fly to from BNE. i seems to show that you can fly directly from BNE to MNL. According to the Qantas website they do not not have a flight from Bne to MNL.

Flight Tracker is not exclusively for QF flights. It covers all airlines.

Just to contrast, when i did the same search on the "normal" open flights site it doesn't show a direct flight from BNE to MNL.

any thoughts ? if we are accessing the same database, within minutes of each other, shouldn't they show the same flights from/to the same cities/airports ?

I would not waste my time with that ... I use it to list my flights, not search what may be.

You want to search for flights, then use another tool such as Matrix - ITA Software by Google ...

I believe that your question has already been answered, but FWIW I have 2 BNE-MNL flights listed in my Flight Tracker. QF used to fly BNE-MNL many years ago, with the flight originating in Sydney. The BNE stopover has since been dropped and QF now flies direct SYD-MNL. I flew BNE-MNL with Qantas in 2002 on a 767-300 and MNL-BNE in 2004 on a 747-300.

My Travels finally caught up with flight tracker, took a couple of days by the looks of it..

Hi,

I added a bunch of flights the other day. I just went back to add some more and noticed some weird details in the flight list view (text in a few of the notes fields, which I hadn't used). Clicking on a flight and the departure time had "QF", carrier was "American Airlines" (when it should've been Qantas), plane was blank but rego had "Airbus A380-800", trip was blank instead of the trip I had selected, and note had "4089" when it should've been blank. I fix the entry, click save, move one flight away and then back and the entry is full of rubbish again!

Any ideas? Cheers.

And opening one of the flights with a number in the Note field reveals problems with start and end times, plane type, rego (should be blank), carrier and note.

Yes, I had that exact same thing happen last night; but I just had a dot in the left hand column, not the green page icon. I tried to go in and edit the entries to fix them, but same thing happened (it was only about 3 flights, though). But then, a few moments later, when I was looking at the list of flights screen (like your initial image, post #190) wondering what to do next, the entries all corrected themselves.

I was entering QR and WY flights.

I expect admin will pick up on this soon, else send a PM if yours don't come right.
