Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to attend anymore. Hope to see you all at the next one.

I am now attempting to make the Friday night pre-event drinks and / or the after HARS dinner, on the Sunday. I will monitor updates

At least in regards to the Friday night drinks, the booking form should be open right up to the event. Some of the other events will technically be closed off from registering though.

Happy to confirm anyone for Friday on the day. Can't do the same for Saturday and will see what I can do for Sunday.

My trip to Lake Eyre has been cancelled that weekend - b@stards I was really looking forward to it. Now waiting on another company to see if they can fit me in somewhere. So I will try and confirm one way or the other soonish.

I'll confirm over the next week.
Friday drinks - no chance.
Saturday Morning - unlikely
Saturday dinner - almost definitely
Sunday - HARS - Given likely flights, and need to get back earlier I will may hire a car and meet you there :)

As previously alluded to, the registration deadline is fast approaching. I will be confirming final numbers to the venues for this years gathering next weekend. The final date to get payments through will be Thursday 10th October. I will watch my account up until midnight that night before numbers are set.

If you decide after registration closes that you would like to attend the Friday night drinks, you will still be able to, but there will be the same cover charge at the door. This is to cover venue hire. The function will be held at the Australian Wine Emporium (part of the Australian Hotel), 100 coughberland Street, The Rocks. Event start will be 1800.

We still have plenty of spots free to the Opera House Tour, with the cap for this event being 46 people. The tour is at 10:15 and you will need to be at the Welcome Centre located on the Lower Concourse at least 10 minutes prior.

We also have plenty of space left at the dinner for anyone interested in that event. If you do/will not know your availability until the week of the event or a few days prior, please get in touch with me and I will see if we can accommodate you as a last minute starter.

Finally, the HARS bus tour still has 12 seats available. As mentioned earlier, I am also willing to continue to take booking for this up until the weekend, but you will not be able to book any extra activities at the museum, they are fully booked. Please get in touch with me if you have any queries about this.

I have changed my accommodation to the ValueSuites Green Square (adjacent to or same as the Veriu). Staying both Friday and Saturday nights.

Got Saturday night (now sold out) for $129 (Booked July) with a Qantas hotel voucher and Friday for $159 - the latter booked today.

Now to cancel my Hilton Curio 40K booking.

I just looked up Novotel Sydney Airport and Veriu Green Square and they have no rooms now for the AFF dates. Interesting how high some room rates are in Sydney for this weekend. I looked up Intercontinental and that had an eye watering price now. I think you did well serfty with your booking.

I’m actually using my Ambassador free night at the Intercontinental that weekend so the price would not be directly comparable.

We got kicked out of the Veriu Green Square via email today. They have offered to relocate us to the Novatel.

So who told them about us?

If it is the Novotel Sydney Airport It has the same real estate owners JT but I promise it wasn’t me. I liked the renovation they did for us at the Novotel which long ago was the Hilton Sydney Airport.
The Veriu had a level 10 difficulty to build so I was happy not to be the builder. Seems to be heavily booked since it opened a few weeks ago.
The last two hotels I had to use points on to stay were the Intercontinental and the Marriott and both were ok.

Is that the one a 10 minute walk from Woolli Creek R/S? Was a Mercure for the last Decade?

Yes it went to a Mercure and has been upgraded to be a Novotel Sydney Airport with a big refurb. Looked great when I received a tour.
It has double glazed windows for the rooms overlooking a busy road with the golf course view so no noise.

Admin, can you kindly update my arrival as 17th departing 20th, staying at Hilton? Thanks.
