Hmm - seem to have chosen my wedding anniversary again... and I will be in the UK...

I don't know about the airport tour though

Was a thought to see if there was any interest in it. Any suggestions people have will be looked at

Can I suggest Lowenbrau - a German Beer Hall (and restaurant) at the Rocks for Saturday night dinner?

Looks like a good suggestion. Web site here: Löwenbräu Keller, and as a group we'd need to take one of the set menu options (see http://www.lowenbrau.com.au/downloads/GroupBookingPackage2009.pdf)

(I may have to make a recon visit to Sydney to check things out.

May I suggest Friday night pre-dinner drinks at the Roof Bar

Its a lovely spot under the Sydney Tower esp if the weather is nice & warm.

The previous Gatherings occurred on different dates to this one - surely they can't all have fallen on your wedding anniversary?:p

As a Sydney resident I would suggest the Bavarian Bier Cafe (two locations) or Belgian Biere Cafe (one locations). The beer in the Belgian is better for connoiseurs of beer and the food in both locations is much better than the Lowenbrau (also the waitresses outfits in the Bavarian are a lot more perky ;))

A suggestion for Saturday night dinner at one of the seafood restaurants in Brighton Le-Sands. Also pre-dinner drinks at the Novotel or Signatures across the road or any one of the cafes on Grand Parade.

I should be listed as Gold probable;

Airport Tour: have done that already but would consider doing that again, I think they run them on Saturdays from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

As where to eat: no idea.

And starting the weekend in Melbourne for an F lounge run sounds good.

OZ-Mark - if you want, we can do a recce together - I'm in SYD a lot always looking for an excuse to sample the wonderful wares at Lowenbrau.

A couple of years ago I went there on a corp inv by a large German company, they had organised porcelain beer steins that each person there (100+) had their names engraved on - very cool...

Sounds like a plan. I can't commit to a date to go just yet, but will keep it in mind.

Undecided as to which group 'it depends' belonged in :)
"It all depends" would belong in the Silver - interested category and depending on the activities scheduled could move into either Gold - Probable or Bronze - scratched categories.

Still too early to call as I have not seen the specials for October-December from Qantas yet....
