Don't mean to spoil the party by repeating myself but just for the record the cost of the golf buggy for 18 holes is $38/per buggy. :-|

Hmmm. Then where did I get the $38/per buggy figure? Did I pluck it out of thin air? I was certain the cost of the game of golf plus buggy was $89 per person.

OK. So I was not imagining things.

My original post on 31 August 2010 stated $38 per buggy which was from a PM MAX_1 sent me earlier that day with a copy of the letter from golf club.

Yikes, I better get that one sorted out. Will contact the Pro Shop today and report back to this thread today.

On another matter - are 4 carts enough? It depends on the number of golfers, but three groups may need as many as 6.

We can bungee the spectators to the back of the carts after a weight and balance check (a la EK in Melbourne):lol: (safest place when I am swinging) , its a good point though.

GOLF CART CORRECTION

Golf Carts are $38 per game. If shared by 2 players $19 each player.

No problem.

Now how many carts do we need?

- If I am playing then we will more than likely need 6 carts as there will be 3 groups of 3 so will need 2 carts to a group
- If I am NOt playing then we will more than likely need 4 carts as there will be 2 groups of 4 and serfty can walk and hopefully ozbeachbabe will allow him to have his clubs at the back of their cart

I'll put an order in for one cart please. :p

I take it to mean you wish to be on a cart and to share with one other?

John,
If the above is the case 4 carts are enough. Lindsay Wilson has indicated in a previous post that he is prepared to walk or use a cart. I think also sertfy doesn't mind walking.
If more carts are needed must book asap. Not sure if they have any more left.

Ozbeachbabe (non-golfer) will be sharing a cart with her partner who will be playing golf.

Well leave the booking at 4 carts then for now.

... We’d certainly love to see an international member at any of the events if you can spend a little more time in Brisbane...
I now can stay until Saturday evening, but need a place to stay, ideally for $115 or less; however Holiday Inn seemed to be sold out of Friends rates. Any suggestions for clean bed (preferably with wireless) welcome.

Just checked www.wotif.com and found a few places in that price range.

Il Mondo Boutique Hotel at Kangaroo Point close to the Bridge 3* Single Occupancy $119 a night

The Ridge on Leichardt 3-4* showing $110 min 2 nights

Metro Hotel Tower Mill $129 JohnK stays here and AFF meet here for drinks once a month
Soho Brisbane $121 this one is close to Metro Tower Mill

So be it; however I claim dibs on one of the 8 slots for my golf bag.
It is looking more likely by the day that I will not be ready to play golf for the time being which would bring the number of players back down to 8 anyway.

I will make a decision on my attendance early next week. :(
