Can one of the mods, please update post #3 (or give samh004 or me access to do so)

I'm hoping you made a mistake. Would be extremely disappointed if you don't want me to attend.

Did you leave me out? Not sure of my colour though.

I shall play golf, although I warn attendees that my golf is probably worse than it was 2 years ago at AFF 4, so there will be lots of zig-zagging.
You are not a Catholic are you? ;)

Whoops, I should get my glasses checked, how embarrassing :oops::oops:

Apologies. Yes, you are very welcome to attend :)

I have added you as Silver - "Interested". Please let me know if you would like to upgrade to Gold or Platinum.

You are not a Catholic are you? ;)

Nope, what makes you say that?

Add CarlousMoochous and CarlousMoochous +1 to the Platinum list please.. Not sure how many activities we will attend as we really want to get a day at a Theme Park in too.. Anyone want to join?

Edit: Staying at Hilton... Flying in Fri night ex CBR on VA in J. CarlousMoochous +1 is flying in ex MEL on JQ.... i might need to work on earning brownie points after this weekend!

LiamR - after your tiger video stardom you'd be up for a theme park day yeah? You should move from Gold to Plat me thinks..

Re: Updated attendees to here

Unfortunately I'm bronze.
We'll be showing some American friends around Central Australia ;)

Pfffffftttt, you mean Tiger, the animal right?

I do have an unlimited pass to the theme parks, and I'm taking friends to them when they come to visit in September. I could be persuaded to go again...

I should start booking things, tempted to ditch my apartment and go try out the Hilton. How far away are we from seeing the rundown of events?

Unavailable for me. 2 shows on that weekend. I normally need a good year in advance for any weekend plans. Sucks :(

Coming soon to a thread near you...

I think most of it is worked out, we are just fleching out details for Saturday dinner.

After reading the first quote, I was about to go searching Liams posts for him doing the TT growling tiger pose in front of one of the $19 SYD-OOL TT flights!

Now that would be a good laugh! Come on Liam, What about it??

LOL - well i guess you could call tiger an animal :P

Consider yourself persuaded.. the real question is which park! Whats your favourite ?

We're booked into the Hilton, hoping for the gold Hhonors upgrade - had no luck at South Wharf a few weeks ago :(

Watch this and see if you can spot anybody you know ;)

Tiger Airways TV Commercial - Good to go! - YouTube

(Also, you'll note in one of the videos they say "the most ridiculous day trip in aviation history" obviously they've never heard of AFF

Well, I hate people in general, and theme parks are filled with said people. So naturally I hate them all.

Do you want to get wet or stay dry?

What's your situation?

With youngish kids, Movieworld is great (although Dreamworld have come up in leaps and bounds) and is good for a day even for adults.

Dreamworld is the pick generally for teens through to adults. If the weather is hot, then a joint pass with one of the water parks is also the go.... White Water World with Dreamworld.....(they're on the same site), and Wet and Wild with Movieworld (they're separate sites about 500m apart).

Sea World is the closest park to Hilton (a few kms north with regular busses) and is a good days out with some fun activities (see pick below of my son swimminging with the sharks for his 10th birthday), but not as adrenalin packed as the others.

Whichever you choose, bring plenty of cash and enjoy!

Re: Updated attendees to here

Well me and the hubby spent a week (1 of 5 weeks) of our honeymoon at Disney World... thus its safe to say we are big kids trapped in adult bodies! We've done all the parks before (except the water ones - he isn't waterproof) so really are flexible in where to go and what to do.. I enjoyed dreamworld (despite throwing up after that horrid wheel spider thingy).. but movie world was also fun.. I'm happy to go where others want to go :)
