AIR - A Qantas Magazine

According to Shrek my copy has arrived and I will look forward to deciding on the Rolls or Bentley upon my return on Monday from LHR ( hopefully fully rested from the points upgrade to F on 388 :D )

My copy of AIR magazine arrived today. I receive it every three months and although it is described as a 'Qantas magazine', there is very little Qantas related content. Most of the content seems to be about luxury travel, food and wine, fashion etc.

The March 2010 edition had an interesting article about fine wine titled 'Word Travels on the Grapevine', and the June 2010 edition features bespoke beers. This edition has an article on motor cars, which should be interesting.

Once I have read it, I find it makes an excellent mousemat.

Its a good way for QF to make extra revenue, the rates for advertising must be a lot higher than your average mag.

I found the latest edition which arrived yesterday/today uninspiring compared to earlier incarnations.

As others have stated, a bit more QF content would be nice.

Sometimes the cloud shots are taken by QF crew ;)

I just checked the mailbox and found the December edition of AIR - my first ever. I haven't read it yet but I'll admit to being mildly chuffed I've made some sort of list. Unless of course it's totally random!

Out of interest - what changed in your travel pattern over the last quarter or so?

Yep, mine came today as well.

This is my second one (last quarter was my first).

I travelled in Y to LHR return! I have also made a couple of domestic trips in Y. Earlier in the year I picked up close to 700 SCs from a European business trip but that was in Feb. My total for 2010 will be 1490 so reasonably modest although most on QF.

thats the 10th edition now

Im sure my 10 unread copies will be worth something on ebay in the year 2075

;)

Received my first ever AIR today - I think it's wasted on me. Articles I'm not interested in, and ads for things I can't afford.
I made WP earlyish due to the double SC promotion early this year and a work J trip to IAD in June. Only half a dozen domestic discount Y trips in the six months since. Have booked discount Y to LHR and MUC for January though, so that may have helped.

I'd doubt I'm in the top 1% of WPs though as the blurb explained.

I received today also - just made WP for the first time, 3/4 through my membership year.

Don't think I fit into the upper echelons, based upon my travel patterns and spend compared with others on here.

I received mine today too... made WP late last month 7 months in.. was rather hoping to get my WP card though.. still waiting for it!

I've started receiving it again. My ~1,700 SCs this year has obviously been enough. Last time I received it, I was on over 3,000 SCs.

Seems to be a lot less interesting than it used to be.

Completely wasted on me too... I can't get myself to read a page of it, literally nothing's of interest to me... =/

It is a nice gesture by Qantas though, I do appreciated that, where does it say we're 1% of WP? I'm shocked if I am...

Any WP's not got this magazine?

My dad got it a few days ago. I think its heading for a bin sometime soon.

Edit: I think the paper recycling is going out tonight.
