So if you get Gold by December will you gold last until December 2022?

I think it depends on what the offer is. Anyone who managed to get the 100 by August gets a full 12 months on top of what they'd already had. It was only meant to be a full 8 months (plus the 4 months during the touch of gold trial) to equal 12 months total.

I guess it depends in December if they decide to go with 8 months or 12.

Has anyone received any comms from Air NZ about any further possible extensions (especially for people in AKL who have been in lockdown for the past few months)?

I would've thought they would've extended out again the timeframe... maybe not this time round

Hmmm….just two months after the border between Aust and NZ is due to open to non NZ citizen Australians. Might have to do a J class long weekend (in the middle of winter no less) to lock it in for another year to cover off Star Alliance status

Interestingly my Air NZ Gold and Star Alliance status is currently showing a 31 May 2022 expiry in the Air NZ App - maybe it’s still got to catch-up

Of course there’s every chance Jacinda will issue another variation edict between now and then

Just checked my Airpoints and my Touch of Gold has been extended from 31st May to 31st July.

Same here - interesting it has been extended to July 31st when email said extension was up until 30th June. I've reached my 100 status points - I wonder if they'll check periodically and start upgrading people to full Gold before the 30th June checkpoint...

Seems mine in 5 August 2022. Planning a trip at beginning of May, but flights are booked out going from AKL, but there are some coming back.

Dont leave it too long to book, Ive got flights at end of May and only about 2-3 J seats left. Bookings are very heavy in all classes.

Does anyone know if the status points count from when the touch of gold promotion started? For instance, I got 70 credits during the early stages of the TT Bubble (over 12 months ago). This has now expired as it is over 12 months, but will it still count towards my 100 credits if I get the remaining 30 before the end of trial period?

Nothing for me but expires 5/8/22. I notice I have 2 recognition upgrades but can't use them from WLG to OZ, only from AKL to Premium economy.

You can call up and use them to works deluxe. Obviously not as good as business but still better than nothing.
