Hi, we are flying QF 652 on 17th Feb Perth to Brisbane. Just wondering if that A330-200 is the upgraded one with the suite? Thinking to upgrade for the missus's demob flight.

Currently showing a 1x2x1 layout, so yes the business suite

Has anyone recently flown PVG-SYD route, it seems QF starts using both 332 and 333 from the end of Mar, and the split is about 40%(332)/60%(333) depends which day you are going to fly. The 332 lay out show old configuration, not sure if it's domestic or international.

Any non-refurb 332 will be the old international Config with SkyBed I, VH-EBG or VH-EBL

Just got off QPI today, and the seat pocket in 24A is already ripped. Barely lasted 6 months. If anything, these new seats are supposed to last till the aircraft retire.

all this post tells me is how 'ignorant' some are, by equating a ripped seat pocket (the shell/skin), to the life of a seat structure (the skeleton).. I cant even be bothered to explain the difference. if anything, these new seats will last till the aircraft retire....but over the SEATS life, there may be time for the shell/skin to be replaced, due to pax use/abuse:lol: This phenomenon is not unique to QF BTW

By the nature of the seat pocket and its level of exposure, don't you think it's a bit of a long now to draw regarding the quality of the seat itself?

Of course the seat structure would last. But I expected the other bits and pieces to last quite a little bit longer as well.

Only takes one pax to put too much in their or pull it down too quickly and rip it. They are replaceable parts.
Could happen on the 1st flight, could happen on the 5000th

I would imagine that the seat pocket would be one of the easier parts of the seat to comprimise if one put their mind to it.

VH-EBD back in service in record time operating QF651 BNE-PER making 10/18 A332s

That was quick! They're obviously getting pretty efficient. Will be interesting to see what goes in next, unlikely to be the next oldest as that has the Skybed Mk 1. Maybe skip those two and go for VH-EBM.

Possibility its VH-EBN which hasn't been active since arriving last night as QF598

(EBN is a 2x2x2 Silverwing config (along with EBM))
EBM is currently active as QF112 AKL-PER

Thread jack: does the retro fit include works where that in J, the 2 J seats by each window get replaced with one, and the space becomes the side waist high seat storage locker.
I like to be by the window, right by the window, ...
If the retrofit means taking one seat away, and putting in side locker, I might another booking for a J before they all get retro fitted.
I have a booking, tried to get row 2 or 4A/J, by the window, but they are greyed out, have 5J instead, with the side locker.

It doesn't become a storage locker, its mostly footwell space for the seat behind.

And yes 2A/2K/4A/4K are the only true window seats in the 332 (also 6A/6K in the 333)

Looks like EBN it is...
