ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

QF has 3 Int config 332, where do they normally fly to? All of those J seats are still Skybed MK1, it will be terrible to fly with those seats.

Almost always to HNL, and they pop up on a few other routes. But hardly "terrible" with Skybed Mk1. Yes, not as good as the new J suites, but "terrible" is a bit strong .......

QF5/6 between SYD and SIN almost always get the 332 as well. Bit hard to say if they're terrible or not. They aren't too bad, I suppose, although for quite a few years now, SQ has a bigger IFE screen in Y than the Skybed Mk1.

Yesterday our old style A330 had to be subbed out so we were put on a refurbed unit from Sydney to Perth. Because there were less business class seats several folks had to go in economy.
The new business class layout has a divider between the two central seats that makes them super private but apparently some parents with young children cannot see each other as the central divider does not slide down. With less seats there is now one toilet.
We had great attentive staff and the food and drinks were lovely. Sure we weren't sitting quite next to each other but I was pleased to have room to stretch and exercise/elevate my legs seeing it was the final flight from San Francisco.
I do like the changes.

Well that would have been bitter pill to swalow. Hopefully, they were duly compensated.

Correct. The best approach to being able to sit together is to take an 'A' seat with an 'E' seat or a 'K' seat with an 'F' but staggered by one row. For example, 1A and 2E.

This can be a problem on some flights, especially in the evening when more pax are drinking, and therefore using the toilet more frequently.

It is worse than that. To get to the child to help them you have to walk through the galley. So the best option is seats across an isle but Qantas has made that hard too as the best seat together have different row numbers. Eg row 1 window lines with row 2 middle. Would have made sense to start the window numbering at row 2, but reckon they didn't because then no tosser would be able to prize seat 1A.

Although it was a late sub, and the cabin was full. I doubt anyone had a choice of where to seat this time round.

Looks like QPG hasn't gone into the Hanger yet as its operating today's QF61 to Tokyo.

Interesting. Posted to early -- QPI looked like it was going to take its place having done a few Dom sectors to postn to BNE

In MMB my first week in April QF23 seat plan has changed from an unrefurb 5 row 6 across to 7 rows of 1-2-1. Hope its a real 333 and not a 332 with the split cabin.

And QF23 on 18 Feb?
You should consider buying lotteries, picking that plane.

However, you can pray that there's an IRROP somewhere, and it gets sent somewhere else. The preceding QF20 has a on-time record of only 41%. The turnaround time is 3 hours 45 mins so if it's more than a couple of hours late, you might find they'll send another plane, while having the original plane sent to other places such as SIN (e.g. QF81 departs 11.15am).

I'll be hoping to travel on a wing and a prayer.
