ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

My flight to BKK in 2 months time shows 5 rows of 6 across in one cabin, so we will have QPG or QPJ. :(

My outward flight (QF23) shows 2-2-2 but the return flight (QF24) is 1-2-1. QF24 is overnight so looking forward to the new suite.

Although I hope QPJ is next in (I doubt it however as only just over a month separated first flights of QPG and QPF so I suspect the c-check is due)
Report on YSSY that QPH due out on 10/2 and will operate some domestic sectors initially

Further report that QPG is next and scheduled to go to BNE on 12/2.
So guesstimate of timetable.

10/2 - QPH released - making 8 330-300s of 9 flying
12/2-~15/4 - QPG refurb and reconfig
~15/4 - QPG released - making 9 330-300s of 9 flying
~15/4-15/5 - QPJ refurb
~15/5 - QPJ released making 10 330-300s
QPG,QPH,QPI,QPJ also need to rotate to SIN for repainting into New Roo.

So from mid-April onwards I wouldn't expect to see any 2x2x2 seatmaps on the 330-300.

So in early April with a 9 in 10 chance of getting a refurb, I'm not surprised that I'm getting the Skybed Mk1. However, its a day flight.

8 out of 9 in early April, and then 9 out of 10 when QPG leaves the hanger, until QPJ goes into the hanger, at which point, it's effectively becomes 100%.

Anyone want to speculate as to possible configs servicing QF62 in December?

All done.

My current estimate
All flying 333s by mid-April - QF62 normally a 333.
All flying 332s by end-July

The quicker they get the ones in column 3 done the better. Sunday 10 days ago, Perth to Melbourne we got one of these coughpy planes, 2-3-2 with minimal leg room. In all serious an exit row seat would have provided more leg room. To top it off the inflight entertainment didn't work at all. And to make it even worse they knew about it before the plane arrived (and weren't going to try and fix it) and didn't advise passengers in the lounge so we could make our own arrangements in getting some more reading material or downloading our own content. They waited till they closed the door to let everyone know which the cynic in me thinks was to avoid anyone creating a fuss at the gate and/or in the lounge.

So I wrote a polite email regarding this flight requesting 12,000 points each (1/3rd of the flight cost) due to non advertised seating (they have been advertising it for over 2 years now!) and the poor handling of the no inflight entertainment, especially not letting us know in the lounge. Anyway a generic non response and a deposit of 5,000 points only in to my account, nothing in to my wifes.

The 5k would have been due to the non-functioning IFE and not due to the seat.

Hi Danger, thanks for updating the table. Just spotted a small typo in cell G3 - J class is actually 7 across (2-3-2).

Looking forward to the next column disappearing!

As is everyone.

Col 5 should disappear mid-April,
The unknown is which of Col 2,3,4 they do next

To negate some of the criticism of variation of product (and because they are downright horrible), I'd be doing the A332's with the J (premium economy) middle seat next - so my pick is column 3.

QF has 3 Int config 332, where do they normally fly to? All of those J seats are still Skybed MK1, it will be terrible to fly with those seats.

I believe they only have 2, EBG and EBL, the other 2 were retired. They seem to pretty much exclusively do Hawaii, Singapore and golden triangle domestic. And the Skybed Mk1 is better than the other old A332 configs.

QPI currently enroute PER/BNE as QF594 Thu 11 Feb which is rare as usually a 332.
