Does anyone know if Qantas will ever release award space on the new business config?

Domestically there's no problem if you look far enough out. Internationally paid J demand is usually higher, though there are the odd seats out there to be had.
Right you both are, thanks.I got some without any problems for domestic from East Coast to Perth. One way is new config at the moment.

It's 3-4-3 in Y, and J is still a slopey bed, so I wouldn't do it if I were you.Best way I've found to get certainty for my next four flights between MEL or BNE and SIN is to fly EK.
Not always between MEL-HKG. It's still luck of the draw. I think there is only 3or4 out of 10 A333's that have been refurbed.I understand that QF has new flat J seats between MEL and HKG on A330. But does it have these new seats on flights between BNE and HKG? When I looked at seatguru for flights between HKG and BNE, it said there were 2 versions of seat configs for A330 - angle flat and lie flat. Thanks for any clarification.

Happy to be corrected but I don't think MEL-HKG is a route that is regularly operated by the refurbished 332/333s. Its more so MEL-PER, SYD-PER, BNE-PER domestically and MEL-SIN and SYD-SIN internationally.
The last month would suggest that QF29 sees a refurb every other day roughly, QF30 is about the same.
Are the MEL/SYD/BNE-SIN routes more regularly serviced by a refurb than this ?
Or is every other day the best odds we can hope for at this stage internationally ?
Yes and no, but it does vary. With less than half the fleet completed at this stage, I would stay realistic about chances of a late config swap either way.
You should be in politics. Your answers are always so diplomatic
