VH-QPF 330-300 To SIN paint 13/7

Interesting. Often they will route QF41/42 SYD-CGK-SIN then onwards to Sydney as QF6 to account for swap outs.

Though maybe being the end of Ramadan in Indonesia the loading a were such it didn't make sense.

On 16/7, they'll do it the other way with QF81/82 SYD-SIN-CGK-SYD - with the CGK-SYD portion fully booked.

They don't normally fly on Thursdays, but of course this weekend is an extra long weekend in Indonesia and the start of the main holiday season. So gather they have done this re-routing to pick up extra pax ex CGK.

Looking at the layout I'm thinking 2A might be preferable as a true window seat rather than 1A. Any thoughts?

Based on my exp and preference. Yes. 2A/2J or 4A/4J. are best individual seats on the new refurb A330 cabins.
Any of the even numbered window seats are great individual seats.

Next for individuals are the inner center seats which are Even E seats and Odd numbered F seasts.

I don't mind the odd number seats, as I can get a little restless and like the ability to slip out into the aisle without having to adjust me seat or table. But then, some say I'm weird...

Hopefully the new config will stick for my flight next week, and I can finally test out the Y seat.

Has the CGK run been getting any refurbs ?
GA has been offering fully flat beds on SYD-CGK for quite some time ?

Has on a few occasions (including SYD-CGK last two days) but not one of the more common routes. Also gets a mix of -200s and -300s.

The refurbed -200s are being used on domestic East-West services

The refurbed -200s after being used on domestic East-West services

I may be wrong but I don't believe any of the refurbed -200s have gone international yet.

They will, however, be doing so sometime in September or October as there are quite a couple of refurbed A332s scheduled on the SIN and CGK services, which I am guessing is either due to a lack of A333s or lower demand. However, I remember someone mentioning that the refurbed A332s cannot run international ops regularly because they lack a crew rest and galley space for the service items on an international flight so I'm not too sure what the go is with that.

Correction made in last sentence - autocorrect.
Thought crew rest in 330s was just some blocked off seats.
Given the old 332 sub-fleet, at least some 332s will need to fly internationally once the refurbishment is complete

Very annoyed none of the refurbished aircraft seem to be plying either of the two SYD-SIN flights over Christmas.

That should work well with one toilet in J.

Agree.
No refurb on MEL to HKG in Oct either. Seems as though it's a dogs dinner.
If I find out the day I fly to HKG, they are running a refurb to CGK there will be trouble. :(
