ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Have to vote with your wallet! If enough people stopped flying because of the inconsistencies/lack of compensation, QF would act. SQ is quadruple daily MEL-SIN. Granted not all have full flat beds, but for the services designated as such you're pretty much guaranteed.

Pretty hard to vote with your wallet when only two airlines fly there direct and both are average product charging top dollar!

ahhh..gotta love 'social' media...where people complain about stuff..yet they still choose to use that 'stuff'...because complaining about 'whatever' seems to feed their (self)importance..ie..if they have nothing to complain about..they don't feel important  BTW i'm not complaining..I'm observing and laughing out loud
How is that post relevant to the A330 business class seating. Sure, there are complaints on this forum and topic, but at least the other members are aware of the latest situation.

So what is the latest situation? Rollout continues on schedule?
Pretty much, and also there is never a guarantee of what seat you get until you are on the aircraft.
No matter what the airline promises!

Exactly. The way some on here carry on irbid like Qantas is the only airline that has product inconsistencies and then troop out other airlines as examples of how it should be done, never mind those airlines are inconsistent too. Just the way it I when you are rolling out a new product. Not like they can click their fingers and change them all overnight.

I know you will find something to say it is different, because it doesn't fit your Qantas bashing narrative, but fact is it is a different product and IMO a hell of a lot more comfortable to the old.

One bed is flat, the other is angled. There's no qantas bashing, it's just fact.

If people don't like the angled bed (and some, me included, can't sleep on them), there is an alternative full flat bed (either 'old' or 'new' version) available.

I have a flight from SIN next week, and currently, 3 out of the 4 ex-SIN aircraft for the day are new config.

Singapore one bed is angled (777-200(ER), A330-300), one is flat but you need to lie in the foetal position and so uncomfortable to sit and eat in (A380, old 777-300ER) and one is flat and you can lie straight and sit comfortably (new and refitted 777-300ER). No there are some facts.

All can be found on the route you mentioned on the same day. But they are the model of consistency and Qantas should be hung drawn and quartered for taking soooo long to refit.

Ah yes correct - my bad - QF20 from SYD - but then we need connect from MEL - so pls let me rephrase that - SYD-MNL route using refitted 330 with lay flat beds?

Like all A330 routes.. Sometimes.
But generally a 330-300 and other routes tend to get priority

QF5 today was scheduled to be operated by a refurbed 333 (QPI). However has been subbed for a refurbed 744 (OJU).

Havent seen a 333 subbed by a 744 for quite a while.

Some lucky Y PAX will have a nicer ride in Y+ seats.

No but I think they will have little choice along the way. Not enough A333's really. How long before those three 789's they finally ordered arrive!

Qantas has 28 A330s at the moment (10 330-300s, and 18 330-200s) -- most its ever had having just received all of them back from JQ (which had 11 at one point)
25 presently flying with QPF, EBE and EBM in the shop for c-checks/refurb

Its eight 789's and they are not due to arrive until the second calendar half of 2017 --ie at least another 20months - the 330 refurbs will be well and truly done by then.

The return QF6 SIN-SYD looks chockers... I wonder if that was the reason for the sub.

But as I said, not enough of the larger capacity A333's. Wow eight 789's is it! That's nearly as many as Air New Zealand, well not really.

The mix is what it needs and the mix is what it has.

Since they have started the refurb they have reallocated the fleet to counter for the fact they are one 333 down, take CGK for example now almost exclusively 332's, 333 was always too much capacity for it. Some of of the SYD-SIN routes are always 332's too. But sometimes **** just happens and you need to sub. Doesn't necessarily mean you don't have enough of them.

But as I said, not enough of the larger capacity A333's.

I believe some of the newer A332s with the eX2 PTVs in the Y cabin will be operating both internationally and domestically to backfill the A333s.

This will happen regularly (and not on occasion like QF have suggested) as there just isn't enough A333s (even if all of them are in service) to maintain the schedule they have planned.

10x A333s:
- QF81/82 SYD-SIN-SYD
- QF23/24 SYD-BKK-SYD
- QF129/130 SYD-PVG-SYD
- QF117/118 SYD-HKG-SYD
- QF5/6 SYD-SIN-SYD
- QF3/4 SYD-HNL-SYD
- QF35/36 MEL-SIN-MEL
- QF29/30 MEL-HKG-MEL
- QF51/52 BNE-SIN-BNE
- QF97/98 BNE-HKG-BNE
- QF61/62 BNE-NRT-BNE
- QF19/20 SYD-MNL-SYD + QF41/42 SYD-CGK-SYD (these are not daily and so should be able to be done by one line of flying)

That's 12 lines of flying, not taking into account both planned and unplanned maintenance.
