Yep would be good to know. I have a bigger challenge. Have a toddler to try and bring in!

My brother in law has a supp plat card to my account and they are accepting for lounge access in both MEL and PER.

Ok did you guys go in together? Just wondering if a husband and wife should go in separate? Also has anyone brought in a toddler?

Used my plat card with no problems in MEL this morning. No swiping of card or boarding pass, but the name on the card was checked against my boarding pass.

Flying DJ just got a lot more bearable :)

Cheers

Steve

Good to know. So based on that supp holders can probably get in....

Refer back about 3 posts where I confirmed this - in MEL and PER they are definitely accepting supp cards.

Thanks. But what if husband and wife walks in together with wife having supp card?

If they are not checking the digits on the card when one person walks in, would they really be checking when two walk in and both have a plat card? They have at least one digit that is different anyway, and I doubt they even check the number otherwise they'd be rejecting supp cardholders when by themselves, which we know is not happening. Hand them a plat card with each BP, and as long as the name on each card matches the BP, I think you'd be fine.

Ok thanks. Just hoping they won't get suspicious as both husband and wife walking in with 2 separate Plat charge cards :)

Has anyone used the plat charge to enter the virgin CBR lounge yet? And any success?

My wife and I have both accessed the Virgin Lounges at OOL and SYD recently with our cardholder and supp cards.

I have another question for this thread: Has anyone had to sign anything upon entry? I can't recall if this has been mentioned already.

With Priority Pass, you used to sign a receipt which was obviously used to remit a certain fee which was collected from PP. I can recall that some Lounges were able to swipe your PP card electronically, while others used the old school click-clack machine... In the US it's even more basic, and you often sign in on a sheet of paper.

Anyway, I ask this question because I'm curious to know whether DJ collects a fee on a per visit basis, or has some sort of other agreement with AMEX in place.

No signing, in my experience at SYD and OOL lounges.

. This benefit does not provide lounge access for guests (including children).

That part makes it virtually worthless for any personal travel I might have done with them. OK for business though.

I'm doing SYD-CBR-SYD this week will use the Plat charge to enter. Hopefully no dramas.
