AMEX Platinum Edge Referral bonus

Hi all, maybe a silly Q, but how do you refer a friend and get a bonus. I looked over the Amex site and couldn't find a thing. Forgive me if this is a no brainer.
Cheers

If you have an AMEX issued card, then there should be an option to 'refer a friend' on the AMEX website under the rewards menu. Note when you are referring someone, the first screen lists all of the cards that AMEX offers - be sure to pick the card you own, not the card your friend is interested in. You select the card refer in the screen after this

ive got velocity plat for booking flights but if someone wants to PM me a platinum edge i would be pretty chuffed. I have facebook so can add a friend request for the purpose of a few points both ways.

This offer isnt limited to new customers only is it?

The Ts&Cs say for new customers only but can't hurt to give it a shot if you want the card anyway.

This.

I found that some AMEX agents are even willing to confirm in writing that you will still be eligible for bonus points even though you have an AMEX issued AMEX already. I've seen few colleagues successfully getting this emailed to them as to keep a copy in writing, in case the system doesn't automatically give them the 40k points.

You can get referral links for this and other AmEx cards at <some website>

There is no explanation to this site and there appears to be no other reason it exists than to funnel referral points to the owner of the site. Do you own this site luuuis?

What made you expect explanations, prozac? It couldn't have been anything in my post as I only wrote that you can find referral links on that site, not explanations.

I created the aforementioned site for people who know what card they want and are after a better deal than what they can get directly from AmEx. Many posters on this thread fit that profile, hence my recommendation above. If they had been asking for a dissertation on the finer points of Platinum Edge membership I would have recommended something else.

Get off your high horse mate. You have joined AFF just to promote your site and you weren't honest enough to declare your interest up front.

A new member having only 4 posts and doing this is why it looks dodgy and self-serving.

I went ahead and applied on the spur of the moment and was successful this time.

They didnt even do a credit check...atleast not with veda...

Apologies to those who offered the referrals... I did it on the spur of the moment after weighing up loan/card etc.
