Even if the referral bonus was stll on you'd probably (depending on how much you value the points) be better off under the current deal. Free for first year & 5k MR points. Whereas the referral offer offered 15k MR points but you were charged the $195.

I signed up for this card about a month ago and unfortunately the Amex site is not offering me the link to refer a friend. It seems like the referral program might have a waiting period for new cardholders before you can refer others.

Is that right? A few people over at the OzBargain Platinum Edge thread are insinuating it has been reactivated in the past couple of days, but I can't personally confirm.
