Loyalty is your enemy. With only 2 out of 9 cards getting this offer, I'm a bit disappointed having being a participant in Shop Small from the beginning. I guess I don't have to run around doing Opal card topups this year...maybe that's why I have been blacklisted?!
Aren't other offers from AMEX that are targeted also advertised?I’d say there are good grounds for an AFCA complaint for those who could be bothered. Shop small is publicly advertised and in the case of my sup cards is even advertised on the home page, and the terms and conditions don’t say anything about it being targeted. It lists a few cards that aren’t eligible but that’s it.

I'd need an assistant to keep track of all thatDid my first small shop purchase earlier today.
After not having an AMEX for the last 18 months, it was like an old friend saying hello, when I received an instant email saying that my small shop purchase had been successful.
Oh and I enjoyed the $12.50 I paid at the local hamburger place instead of $22.50 as well
74 more transactions to go!
How were you able to add the offers on all your cards? Was this not targetted? All your cards were targetted?Did my first small shop purchase earlier today.

I don't know if the offer is targeted or not. But as I explained previously (perhaps in the other thread - a MOD has moved some posts) it took me an hour just as the offer opened to save it on all 15 cards. How were you able to add the offers on all your cards? Spreadsheet is a must.I'd need an assistant to keep track of all that
Report this to AMEX. You'll be pleasantly surprised at their responseJust a warning:-
I've just been shopping today. Two stores told me that they do not accept Amex, yet are on the list. I usually shop at one of these shops and they told me that they've stopped accepting Amex a few weeks ago.
Last year I had the same issue at one store who insisted that they do not accept Amex.
So perhaps best to enquire before you shop.
Yes. They have done the right thing by me in the past.Report this to AMEX. You'll be pleasantly surprised at their response
Thank you so much for this.Yes. They have done the right thing by me in the past.
Top right-hand corner of the AMEX home page: “Contact us”, then Chat (or phone). I have used secure mail in the past but don’t see that option now.Thank you so much for this.
Any idea of the contact number or email address I can use?
I appear to have missed your post. I went back to the other thread and read the posts that I hadn’t read and couldn’t see it other than heaps of other people in the same boat I am in.I don't know if the offer is targeted or not. in previous years, I’ve got the link off OzB site and registered all of mine in less than an hour. Now I’ve been told I need to log into each individual card (supps can’t be accessed via primary card holders’ login) and register if I’ve been targeted for the offer for that card.
I’d be very grateful to you for posting a link to the post where you detail how you did it. Sounds like you have multiple Amex cards registered. I only seem to have received the targeted offer on 2 of my 5 accounts and then only for primary cards. Looks like I’ll be paying full price for opal trips this year
I understand Amex aren’t a charity but ...
