Not sure they have calculated points correctly for me; seem to have allocated 1pp$ despite a restaurant spend and lots of overseas transactions...

I've been reading this thread (and the other credit card offer threads) with great interest and am amazed at the wealth of points on offer for signing up with various cards. Until now I've been hesitant to commit. Finally took the plunge and signed up for this one. Now just have to wait for the card to arrive, do the minimum spend and get that cool 100K points :).

Thanks everyone for your great advice.

Is it bad that I cashed in my points (for SQ suites) the same day I got my bill?

Any reason you didnt sign up using a referral offer to get 110k points??

Maybe he's one of those who dont like seeing other benefit! Wasnt there someone who wouldnt use a referral link unless the referrer shared their points with them!

Hi Europa, Stupidity may be the answer

Spent all the time reading the thread then when I finally pulled the trigger, rushed in without using a referral offer. Doh. Still can't complain about the 100K points.

PS I have already received an email stating my card has been posted. That's super quick.

Hi burmans,

Not at all. Please see my reply to Europa.

Thanks all for the information - have signed up! The return PER-SYD flight is worth the $350 annual fee alone, and the 110k points are a great incentive - not sure what I'll do with them yet!

Per -syd isn't on the list afaik

No sadly, it's pretty much go north from PER only.

If you select Perth from the map at AMXACQ1994_FlightMap_v4, then both Adelaide and Sydney are shown as options? Doesn't appear to be possible starting/returning from Sydney though - just starting from Perth.

How long do referral points take to show up?

I've referred a coupe of people who have met their spend (and received the 110k points, albeit not yet swept), but nothing is showing in my account.

Not in the Terms and Conditions, but available when you click through the latest interactive map - AMXACQ1994_FlightMap_v4

I think the T&C's said something about the fact the cities were 'subject to change'. Before I signed up, I called up to double check SYD and ADL were available from Perth.

Re: AMEX Velocity Platinum Card - 110,000 Points / $349pa / $1000 Spend

Question; my partner has only had supplementary amex cards off my account, now if she applied herself would she be eligible under This current promo?
