Question; my partner has only had supplementary amex cards off my account, now if she applied herself would she be eligible under This current promo?

Just tried to refer my wife by logging into the Amex website could only do it via social media. I don't have a Facebook profile and can't refer to her via LinkedIn. I called Amex and they were clueless about alternatives. Is there an alternative way to create a referral link?

You should be able to pull the link out of the referral info. In my case I clicked the Facebook button then right-clicked to copy the link location. Not sure how to do it from the LinkedIn referral though.

Davel not sure if you saw my earlier post I have had a DJ Amex since February, applied for this card approved but then called them and of course they told me I as not eligible....I might wait for a month or so and re-apply

My two referrals showed up pretty well straight away after approval.
No requirement for the minimum spend for the referral points, only the card approval.

I can always chase-up with Amex for those I know very well (i.e. could provide their name, card number), but I know my links/emails have been shared widely, so who knows how many referrals I'll miss out on if they dont post automatically.

Doesnt mean you wont get the bonus; I got mine.

That seems very strange, I and lots of others have two Amex cards.

It's such a big bonus to pass up on so I'm considering trying to go for it anyway. I wonder whether you would get the points if you didn't ask about your eligibility?

Yes, familiar with the rule, and yes it is strictly enforced.

Ran into the same issue early this year. You can have more than 2 Amex cards but if you already have 2 credit cards, the third one has to be a charge card.

Same here. Had 2 already plus a charge card. Made me shut down a credit card to progress with the velocity platinum application. All went through ok. Got to transfer the limit on the card I had to shut down to one of my other cards.

In relation to the free flights attached to this card - what class do they book into pls? How readily can dates be changed etc? And any fees / costs to change?

I just did one today. One flight is Q class and the other is N. I think the change fee is $150 (should have paid more attention when he was giving me the spiel). I don't think there can be a name change.
