I got an invite today for the BNE event. Almost never use my QF points but I do give them about 3000SCs worth of business every year. More now that I can go to Dubai on QF.

I'm up for drinks after the event if any other BNE frequent flyers fancy it. let me know.

I'll be up for a few drinks after. Particularly if the event gets us started with some decent drops from the QF cellar

No worries, drop me a private message with a contact email for you and I'll try to set something up. Same goes for anyone else interested. Cheers!

In your position & loyalty evident Samh004, I would be writing & submitting to the decision makers a strong letter of questioning & reasoning why you were not chosen??
Disappointing QF, disappointing :o

Seriously, do people really care that much about these things?

Why do you think loyalty schemes are so effective?

I get the idea of being upset about missing out on some "real" benefits associated with status, but I'm just not sure that drinks meets that criteria.

On some levels though it isn't about the actual event it is about not being perceived as being worthy if the event...

I'll be up for drinks as well.

As for the selection criteria, I've now just decided my invite was a consolation prize for missing out on the sydney lunch :)

I've burned about 500k over the past 6 months.

Maybe it's how many points earned? Or the type of points being earned. Woolies/Optus.... Or a ratio of points from cc versus flying.

Loyalty can be points only and it's not just about flying

Trippin you send her invite not the other way around.

Not sure the burning or earning of points is the focus......we've burnt 650,000+ points a year for the past 6 years - plus a few more in the years prior to the arrival of the kids.

In 17 years of QFF the only bonus/invitation I've received is two DSC offers - both received in the last 10 months + a few very pleasing Int op-ups.

Dont rate drinks.......however, lunch is another story.

Not sure of invite criteria either. Looks like my invite came very early in the rounds
I earnt many millions of points and spent many millions in last year so maybe it's points driven??

Only 2 k in SC though

Danny, well done! Give her a grilling on service quality compared to Emirates!

cove, jeez, the Airport? Couldn't they invest in a more central venue?

Perhaps the new part of the QP is going to be open and they wish to show it off?

Stark drop me a message with your contact details and I'll add you to the list for an AFF get together post Lesley

Although a quiet start to my membership year, I racked up over 4,000SCs to get P1 last year. I received an invite to the Perth event on March 5. Happens to be my birthday, so hope it's worth the effort. I never previously was invited prior to getting P1, but I was only SG for the previous 10 years. Will be good to meet any AFFs at the event.

Been to tonight's meeting in PER. Complete waste of time. I guess if you have a few friends going for the free drinks among mates, it may be okay. Otherwise I suggest don't be bothered. Lesley delivered standard lines on QF-EK merger and hinted on Qantas Cash. Nothing new at all. Not sure why bothered with the meeting at all.

Thanks so much for updating us. At this point I am viewing it as a socializing opportunity. We're the drinks any good? Also any opportunity for Q AND A?
