Only one thing left to say...GO THE HAWKS!!!!

Agree, and as it turned out, so long as the margin is sub 40 points I am in front on the betting stakes regardless, with the weather forecast it looks good for a low margin game!

In the Qantas Sydney Business lounge now and there's plenty of red on display here (and a couple of Hawks supporters)
Go the Swans!

I think we need to have a mini tipping comp, bragging rights on offer for the 2012 DYKWIA cup.

Here's my Selections;

Hawks by 13
Norm Smith: Sam Mitchell.
First Goal: Adam Goodes.

Back on topic. I was in the air for the entire game. Qantas were somewhat restrained with announcements with only two of them - one at half time and one at full time.

Pity the IFE doesn't have ABC radio like the old days.

What a great win by the Swans! - congrats to them and all their supporters.

More than happy to be proved wrong in my tips. :)

Unbelievable Grand finale. Credit to both the Hawks and Swannies. The momentum changed, tension and drama. Midway through final Qtr honestly though the Hawks had it in the bag.

Go the Bloods!

Good strait kicking is Good football.

That's basically how the swannies won it. :-|

While they missed some easy shots, the accuracy for the Hawks was not neatly as poor as last week.

I'm old enough to have been at losing Hawk grand finals before; can't complain, when I was born, they had never won a premiership.

They are averaging one every five and a half year since then. :D Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Will the last person leaving Melbourne please turn out the lights. Goodbye Silverware!

There's still hope - I'm heading up to Sydney tomorrow to hopefully see some head South to "Gosch's Paddock". :D

If I was running Qantas I wouldn't bother. The AFL dumped them just after they did the A380 fly over.
Too many long legs on every flight with AFL footy players!

Same, they gave such a ridiculous ultimatum, I would barely give them a second look if they came crawling back.

What an amazing day! As a swans fan at the game with my old man who had flown in from OS especially for the game it was unbelievable. I was there in 05 and 06 and this game pretty much beat both. Lost a few more years of my life (why can't they just win one by 50 points sometime!) and enjoyed every minute. I thought we were done at the start of the 4th after playing some of the best football all year in the 2nd. Buddy looked like he would win the game for the Hawks off his own boot if he just kicked straight. Loved mcveighs quote, "boys you better be ready for the best month of your life" and okeefe "run amok". The emotion for both sides at that point must be something else. Hodge spoke like the champion he is. You've gotta love the footy!

My father goes for dinner at the Langham every time he is in Melbourne.

He really likes the food too :)

That would be Melba's right? Quite an institution indeed. Best buffet I have ever had.

Well played Sydney. Interesting to see if Melbourne can pinch Sydney today. A tit for tat deal.

The DRW crowd was decidedly pro swans

Never a truer word written!

What an amazing exhibition of this great game by two worthy combatants.

What an amazing ebb and flow for control of the game on the field.

What an amazing roller coaster of emotions for supporters of both teams during the game.

Swans team indeed an absolute credit to their whole organization - truly the modern day story of the ugly duckling parable.

A lot of people in Melbourne still relate Sydney to South Melbourne, Brisbane Lions is similar like that too. They'd be more shattered if either Adelaide team took the flag!

I can take heart that my AFL team beat both Finalist by more than 40 points this year! just a pity we didn't win against the lower teams!

and for tonight, GO STORM!!!
