So the letter of offer you received in the mail actually spells out no annual fee for first 12 months? Would keep an eye on it when I receive mine, thought banks normally give a standard letter of offer with no mention of promotions....
No annual fee though it may be a promotion would still need to be disclosed in your letter of offer. If its not there I'd be very concerned.

I didn't think mine had it, but it is hidden a few pages into the bundle:

No annual fee.JPG

I wouldn't be that worried if it wasn't there - ANZ is a bit of a pain to deal with, but if you have screenshots of the offer and the application page I don't think it would be too hard to get them to reimburse the annual fee if they applied it.

ANZ Online Saver and Access Cheque Account. Going into the branch will expedite your online access and 100pt ID checks etc. Why do you ask if its worth 75k? Of course it is.

I can only see ANZ Advantage Access account that has a min of $2K month in deposit for no fees?
To get an online account saver account you need to have a ANZ saving account attached!
Where is this Access Cheque Account?
Looking like I cannot setup internet banking for free to meet the eligibility of this card?

Go into a branch and set it up and ask them about the fees. Sometimes there needs to be an outlay for a reward.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Well received the cards in the mail on the Wednesday after the confirmation text on Saturday.

Welcome kit didn't mention the promotion (ie no annual fee or 75k bonus point) but I'm not too worried as I have the screen shots of the application that makes it clear what I applied for and I referenced this in all emails providing requested documentation.

Had to wait 15 minutes on hold to setup Internet banking. Once setup I activated the new cards online and 2 hours later purchased lunch. Transactions from Thursday and Friday are displaying online and earning points. No annual fee applied so far so looking good that they have applied the right promotion.

Noticed you have to ring an order QANTAS Club passes. Will do that next week and give away to a friend (not needed since I'm currently a QF Gold).

Still waiting for the letter with credit card pins. So far everything is going fine. Now for the $2,500 spend.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I applied via the IB link. After sending pay slips I didn't hear anything until I received the cards attached to a one page letter explaining I needed to active them. I haven't received any other letters. No pins or "welcome pack".

I assume the welcome pack includes the terms and conditions like with other cards? I'm interested to know if it'll mention there's no annual fee for the first year. No annual fee has been applied online yet (I've gotten access to that).

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I applied for this Amex/Visa card through the IB promotion link. I already have an ANZ account so I'm not a 'new' customer.
I have the cards now and using them.
My credit card has not been linked to my normal internet banking account so I'm wondering if this has been considered part of a new account I'm not aware of.
I can't figure out how to view my transactions online and I don't really want ANZ to link this card to my current profile in case it confuses the issue and I don't get points/do get charged annual fee.
I called ANZ today and spoke to credit card department, they looked through the history of my application and they confirmed I won't be charged an annual fee.
Will wait and see.
Anyone else have this experience?

Just to add my 2c - cards arrived early this week and welcome pack 3 days later. I don't have a transaction account and the letter mentions fee fee for the first year.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Got my cards 2 weeks ago. $2500 spend achieved today, before 1st statement. Will post again when pts credit to QF.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

So my current ANZ Black is nearing its 1 year anniversary so I'm looking at cancelling it. My wife is an additional card holder with me as the primary card holder/customer.

If my wife signs up for the new ANZ Black with me as an additional card holder instead, this would essentially make her a new customer wouldn't it?

Plan is to sign her up to a ANZ Advantage account, open ANZ Black under wife's name and me as additional card holder, cancel my current ANZ Black and then cancel ANZ Advantage in a couple of months to avoid the monthly admin fee.

Any flaws in this?

I'd be interested to hear how this goes. MrsDaver6 and I are in the same situation with a similar plan in mind when the 12 months is up.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I had not got around to registering my ANZ Visa to be swept monthly by the CBA, and missed the payment date on month two of having this card. Dumbass. Paid it in full two days late.

When the statement came last week, a $4300 balance had incurred over $100 in interest.

I rang to ask how that was calculated, and the call centre guy told be it was wound back to the start of the billing period... and at ~21%, there you go.

I thanked him, told him it was my fault, and that whilst I wasn't happy, it was my own doing.

He then offered to see if he could get the charge waived.

I held the line for 3 mins... voila! Interest fee reversed.

Class act by the ANZ. Not every a the bank hands back money that is rightfully theirs.

Had a similar scenario with CBA once when they had the wrong postal address and I never got a statement, albeit for only $7 worth of interest. It's nice when banks are nice!

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I opened an ANZ bank account today, and I'm now trying to apply for Black at the fee free link. I get to the end, and it times out with "This service is temporarily unavailable due to routine maintenance." :(

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Applied under the deal with the annual fee and no minimum spend requirement for bonus points. Have had the card to 2.5 months now and received 3 statements with no bonus points as yet. How long did it take others to receive theirs?

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

HI All

I agree with baron33. I managed to open the Credit Card from the link successfully without having to open an account
Also when I received my welcome letter, it said that the fee was not applicable for the first year.

I am now just waiting to make the $2,500 in charges and hopefully they will send over the bonus points.
