Quick Q about the Qantas Lounge passes included with the card. Has anyone used them yet and do they check your CC against boarding pass to confirm?

Anybody can use the QC passes, there is no name attached to them. You just need to be travelling on an eligible flight, give them the QC passes and all is good.
Edit 1: You do have to ring up and request the passes from the ANZ concierge, and they get delivered within a month (usually a couple of weeks)

Thanks for this. I have applied, I don't have a QFF (had etihad before, but they are so poor)
I should be able to rack up 2500 easily.

You get the bonus points after your first eligible spend. You don't need to spend $2500. I think.

Can anyone confirm this? Because the T&C's appear to confirm that you get the bonus points after your first eligible spend.

I believe:
No Annual Fee = bonus points after $2500 spend over 3 mths
Annual Fee Paid = bonus points on first eligible spend

I can confirm the new link for the no annual fee offer works for non ANZ customers despite saying Internet Banking offer. My partner was approved and welcome pack arrived confirming no fee and bonus points on spend of $2500 in first 3 months!

I received my credit card(s) (visa + amex ... I thought i was only going to get one card)

Yes - Cards arrived last Thursday and welcome pack today!

i can confirm the same signed up on the no fee link without having any IB account with ANZ. welcome package confirmed that the annual fee is waived the first year.

credit cards arrived on friday and welcome package arrived on monday. $2500 has now been spent. Will the 75k qantas points hit my account at the end of the statement period or how does it work?

They are all a bit different on timings. Have a look at previous posts on how long ANZ takes. AMEX is very fast, banks not so much.

ANZ from previous experience tend to post bonuses after around 4 months. But YMMV.

I've rather neglectfully failed to cancel my wife's card before the annual fee came up on the October statement. I've settled the account (less the fee) and asked for account closure. Does anybody have any insight into ANZs willingness to pro-rate or refund the fee?

My letter was short and to the point, I asked them to close the account as of today and let me know what the pro-rated fee would be (I assume zero).
