Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Just noticed that internet banking is showing that the points will post next cycle.

Not a bad turn-around.

How many cycles since card opening?

How many cycles since card opening?

Card opened around the 10th Sep so by the time the points post it will be the 3rd statement, 2 from the date the spend was met.

Same here and also for my wife's card. Both accounts opened in late August. Looks like they will be swept over on the third statement to be issued in late November.

My son applied for the Platinum card offering 50000 bonus points and fee free for the first year.
A few weeks later they offered him an upgrade to the black. But it has been over 4 months now and no points have posted.
Any suggestions why?

I got approved thursday cards here today Monday ,fastest I have ever gotten any cards , the letter said no annual fee first year which I was worried might not be the case Good card for free but I am not sure about the ongoing costs especially the price for supplementary cards

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

Received my letter of offer today which states no first year annual fee. It doesn't mention anywhere about the bonus points - is that supposed to be in the letter of offer or does it just happen automatically?

Almost every offer never has specific terms, only general ones.

You should always keep a screen shot of the offer just in case there is a problem later on.

Yes husband got his letter of offer today with the no annual fee.
When setting up the internet banking we asked the guy to confirm the 75000 points and he said that it would be paid on the 3 statement cycle.

Why the offered the card, or why they haven't posted points?

The former, because they want him to have a higher credit limit, pay a $400+ annual fee, and void his current offer of a fee free first year (and potentially points). I'd certainly wait to get the points and then consider that offer on its merits afterwards.

Re: points, could be a manner of things. If you have met the criteria and they haven't posted, call ANZ.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

He took up the Black offer, before I knew anything about it to advise him otherwise.
So maybe that may void the bonus points offer. He did do the spend requirement a few months ago.
Yes he will have to call ANZ.
I was just enquiring if someone had a similar experience.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

I have a little story so grab a cuppa for this rant:
I had this card more than a year ago and the process on applying was pretty good.
I used it to get 10K cash out via ANZ that went flawless and incurred no cash advance fee, was able to pay it off via balance transfer to another card with 12month interest free.
Got the passes and points and closed it one month before expiry.

I missed the Free offer that did not involve having an account by a few days as I was waiting a week from last applied.
I saw the ANZ Internet banking FREE offer but could not workout how to get Free ANZ account and ANZ over the phone was useless.

I read on here or Ozbargain about the Progress Saver account and with my "short name", this was setup for free with no issues.
I then applied with my Anz Progress saver short name via the IB offer for Free annual year.
Since then I have been txted and called 5 times.
1. We need your long name that is different to ANZ account approved and referred too.
2. Reapplied with long name and then asked for payslips. Told a credit check had not been done as yet?
3. Payslips even though clear to me not clear to them....
4. Resent new pictures of payslips and then txt to call again.
5. I have spoken to 7 ANZ people in call centre at this stage and now approved.
Told will receive cards in next 3-5 days.
Asked if anything else and I asked that annual year free.
"If you application stated annual year free, then you SHOULD get it that way" They could not confirm on their own system that it will be free! ....Photo screen shots have been taken!
Stay turned for an update....

This mirrors our experience almost exactly.
Cards eventually came through and a letter stating fee free for first year.

Good luck

Thanks for the link , just log in anz internet banking and see the offer in there . Just applied for it .

For those wondering, you do not need to have an existing ANZ internet banking account, or any ANZ account, to access the offer.
There have been a few reports confirming this in the above posts.

I can confirm that i got the pts via the link and im not an anz customer.

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo

My concern was some people said they did not get offer granted and had no recourse because they had no internet banking as per the offer and Anz interpretation!
