I applied before they dumped the Amex so only got the 75k points, which came with the 2nd statement, 6 weeks after making min spend.

After being accepted, spent the minimum within the first two weeks and just received the 75k points, after around another 4 weeks.

Just got my wife onto it too, so a very quick 150k earn!

yep. Self employed and it was horrible dealing with the Indian call centre. Worth the points though.

Feel free to feedback or complain to ANZ if you faced any issues with the application process. I did about some issues with the call centre not knowing how to read my payslips. Requested and obtained an extra 5000 points.

Rang to cancel yesterday and was offered an additional 1 point per dollar on both cards. Amex until it expires in August and Visa until 30 September.

So 1.75 for visa and 2.5 for amex

MrsDaver6 rang to cancel last week. Offered half price on the annual fee (somehow that comes to $216). Regardless, will cancel tomorrow anyway. Really not worth it.

My son applied for the ANZ Black last night. The message at the end of the application was "we will get back to you".
No follow up phone call today or email.
So what does that mean?
Anyone with similar experience?

Just means it has been referred. Give them 48 hours. You'll either get a decline or an approve email, or like some others, the card in the mail in a weeks' time.

Does anyone know if to earn the 75 SCs, that you need to purchase the flights using the ANZ card? I ask because most of my flights are business, booked via the corporate travel agent (company policy won't allow booking direct, with own card). The terms and conditions don't specify how the flight must be paid for, just that it needs to be taken by 30 September.

My bonus SCs posted 4 days after my flight .

They also count towards the lifetime tally but not the loyalty bonus tally.

I think you have to actually fly, but I haven't checked the T&Cs in detail since it all worked for me.

I thought it did, but had been merrily booking work flights through corporate travel agent (paying on my company Amex) and the 75 SCs showed up.
