Did online application on Tuesday. Submitted latest two payslips as requested. Got a phone call today asking for a payslip from last December. Odd stuff.

Actually, I was knocked back today and it appears they are very strict! I have $0 personal income for tax and as it was to be in my name that was completely the end of that.

So - I went off to AMEX with a similar (but upfront fee) offer and they took household income, which included the company and all was totally straight forward and approved within an hour. I'd have preferred Vias but it is still very cheap points.

I understand Platinum One but I am not clear about the Loyalty Bonus. Does this mean that it cannot go towards maintaining my Silver Status? (I need to create another 250 this year). The Qantas rules would seem to imply that it does, hence the confusion:

The loyalty bonus (points or status credits) is awarded for each 500 Status Credits that you earn on Qantas Group flights, and has nothing to do with Silver/Gold/Platinum qualification. All this is saying is that the 75 Status Credits won't be counted toward the 500 you need to get the bonus.

So it counts towards Silver.

I made my minimum purchases in the first week of March
Been waiting for the bonus points.

Apparently my statement date is 11th April.

I'm hoping to get them. However I've just received a refund of a significant value for a partial payment using the card but the whole amount has been refunded.

Would this transaction put me into negative purchases required?

What happened was I paid$1k deposit. But the purchase didn't go through and they refunded $5k where the $4k came from a different card.

I think the terms say the points take up to 60 days from when you hit the minimum purchase.

Not sure re the credit- I had something credit to my Amex when originally paid else where and they points were deducted. I suspect you are in negative as the credit has come from a retailer rather than a payment. Can you get them to fix the transaction to the right card?

I picked up a black card in January'17 so the promotion was the immediate past. Advised last week by ANZ cards that the bonus signup points for me would be applied on issue of the 4th statement, I had thought it would be the 3rd statement as the spend was complete by the second month after card issue. I'll wait another month & hope to see the points.

I am due to receive an ANZ black visa card as an additional card holder on my husband's account. But realise that may have been a faux pas if it will preclude me from being eligible for a sign up offer such as this. If I don't activate the card, will I still be regarded by ANZ as not being a black card holder in the previous 12 months??

Being a supplementary cardholder doesn't count: you're good to go!!

Also get them to credit the amount to your bank account as opposed to a cheque.

Applied 4/4/17. Called today to see the status of my application. Was told I had been approved on 7/4/17 (there was a hit on my credit card the same day). No cards received as yet.

Poor communication from ANZ.

called the bank to eqnuire, my card didnt have any lounge passes as I was a platinum card, oops thought I applied for black, not a big deal

they says they will do a funds transfer if I close the account, very happy with that,

i assume anz ar epretty tight on exclusion periods, so ill sign cancel as soon as a ican

Can't wait for my exclusion period to be up in September. Have had this card twice in the last few years for good experiences so am keen to go back for more (assuming there is a good offer at the time).

can any one give me a few pointers

I called up to try and cancel, got asked
quite a few questions, such as why, do you have any other cards with other banks, how mcuh balance is on them,

I got offered a $150 credit and free upgrade to the black card

my income is under the $75k required for this card, but I do want to
cancel and reapply for the bonus points for the lower card when the exclusion period finishes,

shall I accept this? or even accept it and cancel it
